The whole game honestly is based on probabilites and randomness. Getting a foul called against you is random when you reach in. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesnt. Heck, even making a shot is determined by the CPU. Sure you may have a perfect realease, but the game still determines based on ratings and other stuff in the background if it goes in or not. Not really sure what the difference is with being whistled for traveling. If you have a guy with poor post moves/dribbling ability, and you try to do a move, the game should do a calculation based on how often its called in real life and force a random call every now and then.

In the end, the game is supposed to strive to reproduce the sport it portrays. Not sure why people are okay with something that happens multiple times a game in real life never happening in their game. Especially when its a part of the actual gameplay.
