Stay Away From CBs, Go For CDMs w/ High Def Work Rates Instead

There will be plenty of CDMs with high work rates who turn out to be just as good at marking and tackling as the CBs, but are usually MUUUUUCH better at intercepts and aggression (often times coming IN with Tactician), who also usually have better technical abilities... and sometimes tend to be QUITE tall. Have a soon to be superstar CDM who is 6'6, an Ariel Threat, has a high defensive work rate, is rated an 80 OVR, and is 19 years old. He marks, tackles, and short passes like a monster (80-96), is strong (80), and is actually quite quick (ACC 68, SPD 76).

Now, why the hell would I play a 6'0 CB over that???
