I see some folks saying the DB glitch can b fixed by raising the awareness of a corner or safety. Any truth or is there no fix and it's just a God awful glitch?

I haven't found a work around to the glitch except for playing varsity and then that has other problems like getting the AI offense in full gear.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

It's sad that even playing on Varsity with Fist's sliders still doesn't fix the glitch. I tried them in my Maryland dynasty and beat FSU with 3 td's from the glitch

Yeah rage I've been using your varsity sliders and still every now again see the safety glitch. I know it happens in college football but a reciever shouldn't get behind 2 deep safety if I'm set to conservative. That's drives me crazy.
I'm a mountaineer fan and watched buie slice Texas because they wouldn't give in to the two deep conservative safety play. They were going to pressure with the front four and not get beat deep. Texas has incredible talent in the front 7. West Virginia has a great offensive line. Something had to give. I don't want to continuously see my safeties beat deep like this game portrays. Terrible glitch.
Only thing I can guess is that a patch can't fix it. They couldn't fix it out of the box, sold a broken product.
Kudos for putting out one mote patch.Comment

You'll see that glitch rear its ugly head from time to time even on varsity, it needs a fix. Hopefully they can save this game...we'll know soon enough.Yeah rage I've been using your varsity sliders and still every now again see the safety glitch. Hey guys i refuse to take credit for this information because I got it from a guy here (forgot his name), but before you start a game try lowering the accuracy of both QBs to there real life QB percentage.
Test:
We all know that the QBA slider does not effect the accuracy of thrown passes in the game much, if at all. No argument there. IMO this slider effects QB awareness and I am certain it effects the amount of catch animations we see in the game. First max out both QBA sliders to 100.
Now we can change the accuracy of the QBs in the roster edit screen. I use last year's Comp percentages if they started last year. If they are a first year starter I put them at 55 by default.
Seth Deoge - QBA changed to 69 due to 2011 comp percentage
David Ash - QBA 58
This test made the passing game feel a lot less predictable, especially if you have a cold, rattled QB or if he is being pressured. Catch animations also opened up. More jump in the air, stretching, and diving catches were observed during this test. This in turn helps with the safety glitch because deep balls are less automatic. You will have to dink and dunk because intermediate to deep passes are not always on target.
If there is no fix for the Safety Glitch this could be the only hope for those who want to continue on higher levels. Will test with some teams on my edited roster tomorrowLast edited by Sundown2600; 10-10-2012, 07:33 PM.Comment

Raising awareness will go hand in hand with their PRC rating and they will react quicker when the ball is thrown, but it does not eliminate the glitch. So in essence a player with higher awareness, higher PRC and a high PUR rating will have a better chance at recovering once the ball is thrown.
I'm loving how the game is playing with the QBA of each QB lowered. Helps a ton.Comment

The pass coverage slider doesn't do much, put it at 0 and 100 and you won't see much of a difference. It is impossible to tighten coverage in this game.
The qb acc slider is pretty much the same deal. You don't see much difference when playing on coach mode or using autopass. The QB's are way too accurate, this has pretty much has ruined the game for me.Last edited by Buckeye Country; 10-10-2012, 09:46 PM.Comment

I disagree with the Pass Cov slider being ineffective. It is reversed for the CPU. On All American level place it at 0 with a high INT value (60 or above) and you will see very tight coverage. Set at 100 and the CPU coverage becomes very loose and less reactive in zone and man. FistofRage is 100% correct on this because I was skeptical as well before I noticed the drastic difference. The Hum Cov slider works as it should. The pass coverage slider doesn't do much, put it at 0 and 100 and you won't see much of a difference. It is impossible to tighten coverage in this game.

The QBA slider without a doubt does not affect accuracy much at all in Play Now and Dynasty games we all agree with that my friend.Comment

It is sickening that they still refuse to fix the DB glitch that is single-handily ruining the game for some of us.

I am praying they release a tuner update that fixes this. Those seem to drop without warning so hopefully it's coming after the patch.
It is a very annoying issue. I am 10 games into my dynasty and it makes me almost never want to throw deep because my speed WR's burn the DB so badly. On the flip side, I've gotten burned a lot as well.
I like completing and defending the deep ball, but I want it realistic too.GT: Herkyalert
