That's an amazing list. I'm going to have to bookmark this thread for reference when I get the game.

Running a Sunday Superstars show once a week, with a limited number of PPVs would be fun.

I grew up in the Hulkamania era and it truly was a great time. I went to see Wrestlemania 2, 3, & 4 on closed ciruit tv at my local arena. The British Bulldogs vs Valentine & Beefcake fued was great. They battled for months leading to the Bulldogs winning the titles at WM2. Always remember when The Honkeytonk Man upset Ricky Steamboat for the IC title on tv as well. I have never seen another wrestler as big as Hogan was at the time the arenas would go bonkers. The thing with Hogan is he was bigger than wrestling. To me this era was my favorite as I grew up with it and to me was the best collection of wrestlers at one time in one league I've seen.

88-92 and no Rockers? They were tag team of the year in 89!

I was looking for Michaels and Jannety specifically. Guess that was the problem.

My timeframe might be slightly off, but I believe Harlem Heat was the Steiner Bros biggest opponents during that time frame. Booker did well in WWF/WWE when he went there but I will always remember him as a Tag Team guy with Harlem Heat and not King Booker.

Splitting hairs, but I would move Arn Anderson up into the midcard, simply for the 4H impact he had.

I was only counting the WWF guys I didnt do name anyone that was in WCW. So to my knowledge Harlem Heat never was in the WWF during this time. Arn did have a short run with WWF as part of the brain busters and had the titles briefly. But if you count them up against WWF tag teams they barely even crack the top 10 in my eyes. But no doubt if you count WCW he should be higher on the list.

But if anyone wants to r sees anything I left off let me know and i'll be sure to add them or maybe even add a whole list of WCW guys.

The best thing about this time was the squashing of jobbers during the weekly shows. You never saw Jake Roberts vs Rick Martel on Superstars. You were treated to Roberts crushing some jobber while Martel cut a promo in a picture in picture type of display.

I love the idea, but Tito Santana deserves a higher priority than that!

Also, Ted DiBiase was the top heel in the company for a good stretch.

I'm doing the same thing, and so far have DL'd:

                          Hogan
                          Savage
                          Warrior
                          Slaughter
                          Million Dollar Man
                          Piper
                          Hart Foundation
                          Rick Rude
                          Earthquake

                          and a few more I can't remember.

There's some good old school arenas out there too.

THQ needs to make the next video game with this era in it. This is the most interesting time in wrestling and they can pull it off and make a lot of money.
Expanding the universe with more stories and recreate the drama and glitz from 87-92. I would like a universe mode where you start at Wrestlemania I one and go on year by year in Universe mode progressing your creation. That would be awesome. What if you wanted a Hogan and Mr.Perfect at Wrestlemania 3? I would love if you could recreate it all.

Yeah, for the most part this is true. Every now and again you'd see guys wrestle that were feuding, but it'd usually end in a non-finish which was designed to move the storyline forward (think Savage-Steamboat and the ring bell).

Spinning this thought forward, this type of booking is a big reason why Ryback is getting over so well with the crowd ... he doesn't LOSE! Too many times we've seen guys get a "push" and then once they reach a certain level, the WWE decides wins-losses don't matter and they begin to lose all the time, like The Miz and Dolph Ziggler. Fans can't take these guys seriously as main-event talent because the WWE doesn't treat them as such.
