Re: MLB 13 The Show Fact Sheet
Sorry if this has been answered already. I searched the thread and didn't see any mention of it.
Will the push/pull system be applied on every player (created players, RTTS, etc) via an attribute setting, or will only players with spray chart data have this?
It would be awesome to be able to make a slap hitting leadoff hitter or a first baseman who has the pull shift on him every at bat in RTTS or Franchise.
It's a global system so every player has a tendencies if they are fake players then it's random, well not completely random but the dice roll is skewed to keep the MLB averages there.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show Fact Sheet
Interesting. One of the presentation upgrades for RTTS is to have LESS commentary? Seems bassackwards, but watch it all work out.
Not going through all 27 pages to see if anyone mentioned confirmation, but is it the same crew as last year? If so or not, were any lines recorded together? Or done in such a way to better simulate 2 or 3 human beings actually interacting with one another?Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show Fact Sheet
I don't read it as RTTS having less. Sounds like they are adding more sounds in the way of fan, player and coach chatter that immerses you on the field, which I think is great. Could you imagine if you could hear fans heckling you in the outfield? Or coaches and players from the dugout cheering you on when you're behind in the count, or pressure situations (bases loaded, etc.)?BOBTRAIN

Re: MLB 13 The Show Fact Sheet
TruBroadcast Presentations 2.0 (PS3) – True Broadcast Presentations 2.0 continues to blur the line between reality and The Show. This year focuses on further refinement of game continuity through the restructuring of thousands of presentations but also a heavy emphasis on taking stadium ambiance and big game atmosphere to a new level. The addition of new scenes, new cameras, new OSDs, new music and new audio allows MLB 13 The Show to take a huge step forward in the twofold approach of truly immersing the user in the moment during the pre-game while satisfyingly rewarding the user once the final pitch is thrown. Now more than ever the user will feel the difference between Opening Day, the Regular Season, the All-Star Game and the Postseason, and increasingly strive for a taste of the new Postseason celebrations.Interesting. One of the presentation upgrades for RTTS is to have LESS commentary? Seems bassackwards, but watch it all work out.

They took out Dave Campbell and added Steve Lyons to the booth this year. This is really the only description we have right now no one is going to know much about the commentary until Community and even then it's limited so until someone gets their hands on the game or when media outlets start releasing videos within the next month there really is no definitive answer.Last edited by ShowTyme15; 01-15-2013, 01:25 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show Fact Sheet
IMO the game was more than playable online last year. Played almost 200 games and experienced bad lag maybe 5x. I'd check your ping response time on a speedtest. Higher the #, the more lag you might experience.
As far as making online better...
MLB 13 Online Leagues Overhaul (PS3) - This year with MLB 13 The Show Online Leagues has been given a complete and total overhaul. New features include being able to play the real MLB schedule with all 30 teams, coupled with upgrades and refinements – like being able to manually control the pace of the league. Ultimately, the commissioner of a league will have the tools to be able to create and customize it in order to play with anyone anywhere to have a complete MLB experience in an online environment.
24. Pitcher Energy/Rotations for Online Play Now
25. Mercy Rule for online games
27. Ping indicators in online game rooms
28. New online ranked game Play Now flow with game worth
Looks good to me.. March 5 yet?Last edited by NYYanks26; 01-15-2013, 01:34 PM.Comment

Less commentary when balls are hit and the like, more stadium and on the diamond sounds. The Road To The Show mode received a major commentary and presentation overhaul in an effort to bring the focus back to the player in the mode. The largest change is the removal of all commentary during the action.
Just caught my eye as RTTS is about all I play.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show Fact Sheet
More sound does not equal commentary. The fact sheet says there is LESS commentary in RTTS. I personally think I is a step in the wrong direction and will make the RTTS somewhat stale. We'll have to wait and see I guess.I don't read it as RTTS having less. Re: MLB 13 The Show Fact Sheet
Are we sure that's what "The Show Live" is...?For "The Show Live" Mode I love that the commentators will discuss the happenings in baseball from the games "Last Night"
But will "The Show Live" also have the following features during gameplay?
Overlays showing the upcoming scheduless for the week?
Overlays showing pitching match ups for upcoming games?
Overlays showing division standings and other league leader things?
And while the overlays are on screen will the commentators be commenting on them?
That other baseball game on the market I think does all of this and more
I don't think it's any kind of highlight show.

Re: MLB 13 The Show Fact Sheet
I would wait to see until passing judgement. Zooming in and hearing all the ambient noise you would generally relate to being actually at the plate is pretty cool. Breaks up the game quite nicely.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show Fact Sheet
Well going by the fact sheet description it sure sounds like a "MLB Today" type mode to me.
Also while I would love a highlight show that's not what I am tlaking about at all here.Comment
