    2013 OSFM: Atlanta Braves

Haven't seen one of these started for the Braves yet. I just want to compile a list of all the prospects and get an idea about how potentials will look. I'll do the faces for the Roster when this project gets going. As far as ratings, deliveries, pitches, and swings go I'm pretty useless haha

    40 Man Roster:

    Luis Avilan
    Brandon Beachy
    David Carpenter
    Cory Gearrin
    David Hale
    Tim Hudson
    Juan Jaime
    Craig Kimbrel
    Paul Maholm
    Christian Martinez
    Kris Medlen
    Mike Minor
    Aaron Northcraft
    Eric O'Flaherty
    Cory Rasmus
    Julio Teheran
    Anthony Varvaro
    Jonny Venters
    Jordan Walden

    Catchers

    Brian McCann
    Gerald Laird
    Christian Bethancourt

    Infielders

    Juan Francisco
    Freddie Freeman
    Chris Johnson
    Paul Janish
    Dan Uggla
    Andrelton Simmons
    Tyler Pastornicky
    Ernesto Mejia
    Ramiro Pena

    Outfielders

    Jason Heyward
    B.J. Upton
    Justin Upton

Glad to see you back! Loved our teamwork with the draft guys last year, looking forward to it again this year.

If no Braves fans step up, I'd be glad to help you out with everything.

This organization has thinned out, but still has interesting players to offer, especially on the mound.

here is a list that appears updated as of earlier this week after the justin upton trade

The Braves system is not as deep as it once was and the majority of the talent is found in the lower levels of the system. With that said, there are some intriguing pitching and up-the-middle infieldโ€ฆ

Thanks for that link. The list looks pretty good to me. I think Graham will end up passing Teheran for the Number 1 spot.

I still can't believe how awesome it is that Wren held on to all of the Braves top prospects in the Upton deal. Amazing!

No problem, I added a couple more links that should come in handy.

For sure. I liked Delgado but hopefully Teheran and Graham will both end up being better than he will. I wasn't too impressed when I saw Spruill pitch so that's not too big of a loss. Ahmed is somebody I don't really know too much about but I don't think he's a big loss either.

Prado is a big loss though. In real life and "The Show". Great clubhouse influence and player, and always a great player model in the show because of all the accessory options and modifications he sports. Gunna miss him wearing the Tomahawk across his chest. But hey, there's A LOT to be excited about if you're a Braves fan, in 2013, and years to come with the set up Frank Wren has put in place.

Prado was definitely one of my favorite Braves. I think it might have been against the Marlins when he threw the baserunner out from deep in the outfield and it was on Top 10 that night. That kind of stuff and his passion will definitely be missed haha I'm very excited for this season.

hey fellas. big time braves fan here with a few thoughts...

-i know the graham is ending up as #1 on some lists...but even with the 2012 Julio had, I can't imagine JR having the same type of ceiling or career that Julio will probably have. Shoot...i wouldn't mind being wrong and both of them being aces though.

-talkingchop.com is another great resource for prospects. i tend to trust CB & his prospect thoughts (along with Gondee and some others) just about as much as anyone else.

I definitely agree with you that Julio has a higher ceiling. With that being said, I think he also has a greater chance of not reaching his potential. It would be great if they're both studs though haha

Diamondbacks don't want players who prioritize in talent, they want players who have "grit" and are "grinders." They traded Upton because he wasn't exciting enough in the field, he didn't dive for balls, crash into walls, something that injury prone Cody Ross does do.

Needless to say, I'll be playing as the Washington Nationals in 2013, I can't even stand to look at the Diamondbacks and the racism that is embedded in that front office.
