No 'Timing' Hitting for ONLINE Games Is Awful!!

    Title should read "ONLINE Games"

Can we please get this back? It's such a drastic choice to force the user to change the way that they want to play the game. All I play is online co-op against CPU with a good friend of mine, and we are totally down on this game now. We absolutely hate any other way of hitting. We like to have the game as realistic as possible, and have the hitting predicated on how talented the batter is, and less on how well we do.

Lowering the hitting difficulty to say rookie or veteran, and using Zone or Analog just wasn't cutting it. It is way too easy. Please, please give users online trying to play an unranked game the option of using timed hitting back in the next patch.

Might want to edit the thread title before you give offline (by which I mean completely offline, not co-op) timing players a heart attack.

Why not get used to it?

I really don't see what people enjoying pushing a button to hit same with classic for pitching

Please read, Timing hitting success is more dependent on players skill rather than user skill. We want realism.

            Players skill = Analog

Timing/Classic is more dependent on ratings, which some of us like. The other options are more dependent on player skill (and by player, I mean the human holding the controller).

Yeah because pushing a stick forward is sooooooo much better than pressing a button.

Some of us like to play that way.

For unranked games, we should be able to use any controls we want, if both players agree in the challenge options.

This old man (half joking) likes timing hitting simply because that works for my motor skills. Why take away our options?

Makes zero sense!! They need to give us the option back for Unranked games!

Get ready for a bunch of elitists to come in here and tell you how you should play the game. Now that the guess pitch thread is going nowhere, they'll need someone new to pick on. They'll tell you timing isn't realistic, and ask why you want to play that way. Then they will tell you that online timing is way to easy and prone to abuse in head to head games. That's all they care about. And the developers are starting to side with them.

Haha right! It doesn't have anything to do with right or wrong. Tell me how a product and it's customers can need it from limiting options for modes that DO NOT record statistics? This isn't about ranked play that has guidelines, this is a big deal because it forces players to conform to a way of playing, in what should be an even more casual mode of play.

i doubt that but just like commentary in RTTS they should give options us options for some things that they take out

He's actually correct. Timing hitting is almost directly based on the player at bats skill and not so much the user. Similar to classic pitching and playing with throwing feedback off. Most sim, realistic users (like myself) use timing based hitting.
