Doumit didn't even catch 60 games last year for the Twins, and it was by far his best season power wise. When he's had to catch his power output has been minimal at best

As for not being great at anything he's hit over .300 for his entire career including the majors. Very few guys that have played the majority of their pro career at catcher can say that. The reason he's not playing that position in Colorado isn't because he can't handle it, it's because Rosario can't handle playing anywhere else.

I never said he couldn't handle it, and you're using one season for Ryan Doumit to prove that he hardly catches? Doumit's career AVG at C is .281, next highest is .254 at LF. His OBP at C is .337, next highest is .328 at 1B. His OPS is .792, next highest is .736 at DH. Finally his SLG at C is .455 and the next highest is .433 at DH. From the looks of those numbers, his stats seem quite a bit better when he's behind the plate, he's hit 60 HR's from the C position and 10 is the next highest at DH. So yeah....stats look pretty darn good behind the plate as opposed to other places!

Again I get back to my original point! Pacheco is being overrated! Based on BA alone you're going to give Straily+ for Pacheco? I don't think so! Maybe I'm completely wrong, but I just don't see giving quite a bit of talent for a guy who's only real quality is giving you high batting average and some doubles! Yes doubles will most likely turn into RBI chances, but that's still a lot to bet on a guy, like Pacheco, turning out to be some kind of beast behind the plate!

I'm the Rangers and looking to unload Profar for an outfielder with a bat.

How about Profar + x for Carlos Gomez?

Maybe add Olt? What do you guys think?

Profar plus Olt can get you alot more than Carlos Gomez who doesnt really have a bat. I'll just go ahead and ask since everyone else asks this but would you be interested in getting Stanton?

More input please.....as I said yesterday my brother and I have a franchise against each other so it makes it difficult to make agreeable trades. This is a competition for us so realism may fall by the wayside a bit but we have to agree to each others trades. I am not sure if he reads this thread or not to be honest, but I have told him to several times now. Anyway I am looking to move Starlin Castro. Using AI (which my brother says can be used for extra feedback) here are accepted ai deals

CUBS send Starlin Castro
BAL send Dylan Bundy and Manny Machado or
STL sends Oscar Tavares, Shelby Miller and Trevor Rosenthal or
ARI sends Wade Miley, Tyler Skaggs and Archie Bradley

Ari seems the most logical move to these three for Castro imho so.....
Lets drop Miley off that deal cause I think that's too much so Skaggs, Bradley and maybe Stryker/pollock+ how far off is this? Or would I have a better option elsewhere? I gotta get solid pitching prospects in deal.

Personally I wouldn't trade Profar for Gomez straight up. A SS with all the tools seems too huge a risk to let him go, even with Andrus ahead of him. But just my opinion, which is what I have always had to rely on before this spreadsheet.

I was just looking at CarGo because he's someone that caught my eye in an article over the winter discussing how to replace Hamilton.

I'd take Stanton but I don't really like his name lol... "Giancarlo"? come on now.

If you're looking for the "real world" perspective... no. The Pirates can't afford stud pitchers unless they're homegrown, so the chances of them moving Taillon are slim-to-none.

Now, if you're looking for a scenario in which in could happen, it would need to be for impact player under team control for a number of years (ie, not Ellsbury or another FA to be). For some context, there were rumblings the Bucs refused to even discuss Taillon when kicking the tires on Justin Upton.
