Think about what a "Dynasty" is in NCAA before you say it was false advertising. Essentially a Dynasty is:

-Playing games
-Recruiting
-Progressing as a Coach/or Coordinator

Everything on that list has changed:

-Playing games: new engine, so gameplay is going to be different.

-Recruiting: Totally new way of doing it, as well as added drama with the 2 weeks after the season is over. The only thing similar to last year is Dynamic Pitches, and the fact you are signing high school football players. I'm sure there are more that will come to the surface as time goes by and information is disclosed, but essentially "how recruiting works," is totally different and NEW.

-Progressing as a Coach/or Coordinator:Just based on the fact there are abilities that you use points for to progress your coach makes it completely different.

You can start off as a OC or DC at a small school, build your ratings, and progress. Whereas before, the only thing you did was win games or lose games and your "prestige" would change.

I'm not saying that EVERY detail of Dynasty is brand spanking new. But when you get down to the "main," ingredients of what a Dynasty is, it's completely different and new; much like all of the 2014 non flying car and truck models.

All true. However, a Dynasty also involves developing players, evaluating and fine-tuning their skills through practice, managing an accurately numbered roster. It could also mean joining your top player at his Heisman ceremony, watching a selection show to see who your team will be playing during bowl season, using a Spring Game to determine starters and get a live game feel for early enrollees.

Others have come up with more detailed, varied wishlists. Deeper customization in terms of scheduling, inserting TB teams, Custom Conference expansion, on and on. I just really scratched the surface. What you laid out is indeed the core of what goes into a dynasty. Those things should always be tweaked and made to be as close to fluid as possible. I think many just had hopes that the core would be expanded upon and enhanced to make for a deeper, more immersive dynasty experience.

I am actually really looking forward to the new dynasty as long as it is implemented correctly. I really like the idea of the coach points and the simpler recruiting. I know I am in the minority, but call me impressed.

I'm sure you meant "in the minority", as most will be complaining for the next few months about today's reveal. I'm with you though, as I personally look at every release for what is actually in that particular game and how much I think that I will enjoy those things. I don't think about EA's legacy or marketing speak, or any other anger inducing chestnut

I still find it funny that they haven't released an official blog on Dynasty. That to me seems to say that this isn't the only information we will receive on Dynasty. Either way, I find the recruiting improvements to be a very nice welcome.

I like the fact that if you have a WR recruit visiting and you have a good passing game and your WRs do well the visiting recruit will be impressed and that will give you bonus points.

Can people stop calling it the "NEW dynasty". It's not new. You're doing the same things you always did. Recruit and play games. Instead of having hours on the phone and pitches to make to recruits you assign points. Everything else is essentially automated or simulated for you. Is the fact that it's bad if you have 2 QBs visit on the same week really new or exciting or interesting. Or that if you pass a lot in a game a WR is going to be more interested in coming to your school. Those are things I assumed or liked to assume were already factors. I expected in the old games that if I was an option team that ran the ball 85% of the time, that it would be tougher to land a top WR. I'm not going to sit back and applaud them for something I already thought was in the game.

No, this is not true. Why? Because I don't look for perfection from EA ( or any game developers for that matter). The simple fact that a blog has been released for each and every detail that has been released BESIDES Dynasty is what makes me believe there is more. If there isn't, fine. Jokes on me. Either way, I'm fine with the improvements to recruiting. Do I want more to Dynasty? Yes. Will it "break my heart"? Absolutely not.

Am I the only one who thought things like this were already in the game. I already thought how you played when a recruit visited, effected what his feelings towards your school would be. I always figured if I was an option team that always ran the ball, a top WR wouldn't want to come to my school. Stupid me for giving EA the benefit of the doubt and thinking they already had things like this included.

Ea isn't going to break our heart, cuz when it comes down to it it's just a game, it's not life or death. And if all y'all are so pissed about it, don't buy the game, simple as that. and all of us who are excited about the changes will buy and play. Remember EA isn't holding a gun to your head forcing you to buy it. Bam everyone's problems are solved.

All I'm saying is that the EA guy was in here earlier today and already said these were the two big additions, and anything else that came out would be small. So you're waiting for a ship that isn't coming.

I don't expect any more major news, but it is curious that we have neither a blog from EA, nor nearly the amount of articles we got on the previous Playbook dates. It does feel like some info is being held back for whatever reason.
