In your Coach CCM, how many games do u SIM vs PLAY? Rules for determining WHICH games to play or sim?

I like the "management" aspect as much as I like playing the games. I am not patient enough play every game in the season because I like watching my "career" evolve. So that means I would need to SIM a portion of games.

How many games a season do you play and sim?

Also, what "rules" do you use to determine WHICH games you sim and which ones you will play?

I play each game. But maybe I should sim some.. It might help me get past year 2.

If I would do that I would probably play all division games, important games (teams with winning records) and the play-offs

So the ability to "coach" now exists??? I just recently (1 day ago) dusted off the game and decided to play it again and havent gotten into it much yet. I know when the game first came out MANY were upset because you couldn't be just the COACH, and the developers stated CCM was designed to be played, not coached...

I used to play every game. But now I dont have nearly as much free time (house, kids, etc). So I play 8 and sim 8 so that I can play multiple years. I have to play each division opponent once. The other four games I play are determined by a random draw. This has never happened, BUT it would be possible based off the draw that I play the first 8 and sim the rest which means no interference during a playoff push. Once I make the playoffs though...I play ALL games.

Same as RyanLeaf16 - I used to play all division games and sim the rest to get through seasons quicker. Also, I very rarely even bother with the fake twitter or game update junk on the news feed page and I wait until the offseason to do any scouting. Recently, I've just about stopped playing it altogether. The game just isn't fun anymore.

To push my CCM forward I play all home games and sim away games. I also play all playoff games if I make it; which doesn't always occur.

Some good thoughts here guys. Thanks for the input thus far! DO any of you POST ONLINE what's happening in your dynasties/franchises? I would assume that would help become more invested in the team BUT it would have to be a fair balance of time updating forum readers vs playing the games.

I am commissioner of one league, limited to eight users maximum.
We SIM the entire pre-season and play ten games and SIM 6 regular season games, obviously play all post season games.

The idea is, ten regular season games, 1 per 24 hours plus 3 post season weeks - means you get through 1 entire season about every two weeks - it is a hectic pace but to me the whole point of the franchise mode is multiple seasons - too many games means burn out occurs too early into the franchise.

We force advance every 24 so if you are not ready, have schedule issues - tough ish, if I could convince guys to play games back to back on one pre set night each week we could maybe relax the 24 hr rule a bit, but I want to see who wins the SB in year 5 more than year 1- year 1 leans too heavily to already built teams...

Trick that makes perfect sense. I was briefly in one league that only advance once all games were played. Sometimes it didnt advance (ONE GAME WEEK mind you!) for 6 days... we were never gonna finish a season in reasonable time, much less ENJOY the benefits of watching your team evolve over multiple seasons, which is the point of franchise mode.

Is your league PS3 or XBOX360?

Is your league PS3 or XBOX360?

360, and ten game schedule means you control you own destiny, even if you lose all six SIM games, you still have a shot at making the playoffs. Ten wins usually gets you in. Now if the league is full, eight users, then you have at least 4 user vs user games on your schedule each year meaning playoffs are not guaranteed.

We limit the league to one user per division for a maximum of eight users, any more and scheduling becomes a nightmare...

for me it depends if I want to hit some of the goals for the season like MLB tackles or punts inside the 20, some you cant hit like 120 rec atleast ive never seen it happen. I have seen some seasons were I sim with the niners were DEs and DTs get like 85 tackles and 11 sacks for des and the DT will get almost 70 tackles but its only happened a few times when simming all the way threw. To me the more you play the games the better the stats with running and tackling. Its 50/50 you just never know.

I enjoy the team building and management aspects to the game. My rule of thumb is I play the home opener and then the first home game after the bye. I sim the rest. Gets me to offseason faster. Also if I sim my games I can see how my team is built rather than how I play. We need coach modenin ccm.

I play EVERY GAME

When I clinch a playoff berth or win divison early I usually Rest ALL my starters for like 2 weeks before the playoffs start

Yeah I cant play every game because I'm as big a fan of progressing through the years as I am with simply playing football.
