I wanna see how Murphy does for Florida even if it's against Kentucky.

As for the game of the week like I've been saying I think LSU is the bigger problem for Bama this year and think they will beat UGA. I hope they would anyway just to help us with what shot Florida has to win the east even if it's a long shot....

Since Texas Tech has a bye week, and since seasprite wants me to jump on a bandwagon, Go UDub! Or Boise State. Whichever one wins bigger.

It was the Georgia game in 2003 that made me fall in love with LSU and stop liking them just because I live in Louisiana. Hearing the crowd break out into chants of L-S-U after Georgia scored a touchdown that would have silenced most other stadiums cemented me.

Looking forward to seeing Joey Jones back in Neyland Stadium this weekend. I have always been a fan of his and really liked his book about Bear Bryant back in the 80's.

I'll be rooting for Georgia but I wouldn't put money on it after that performance against North Texas.

LSU fullback/Jesus Connor "Jacob Hester 2.0" Neighbors is going to give Mettenberger the worst insults he can think of this week.

                      Some interesting quotes:
LSU fullback Connor Neighbors’ mission this week is to concoct an unholy brew of the most hateful, inappropriate and vile commentary he can before unleashing it on close friend Zach Mettenberger.

Really, he’s doing it out of the kindness of his heart.

"I’m going to heckle him throughout the whole week so when game day comes around he’s used to it,” Neighbors said. "I’m going to talk smack all week long so he can drown it out.”

A sardonic Mettenberger said he appreciated his friend’s actions, but in reality he could use the help. Consider it an addendum to the normal practice schedule.
"Considering my background, they’re probably going to be a little rougher on me,” Mettenberger said. "I’m expecting the worst, but I’ve just got to go in there level-headed and play football.”
"I’m looking forward to Sunday morning tremendously,” Mettenberger said as he was surrounded by 15 reporters wielding cameras and digital recorders. He then paused a moment to gather his thoughts and find the right phrasing.

"There’s so much put into this game that has nothing to do with the game that actually goes between the snap and the whistle. The worst part is my mom has to deal with a lot of this stuff, too.”
Reporter: How different are you from the guy who was competing for the Georgia starting quarterback job four years ago?

Mettenberger: "I didn’t have facial hair and I had a buzz cut.”

Reporter: Have your parents told you to ignore the crowd?

Mettenberger: "Neither of my parents played in an SEC stadium.”

                      such a chillbro

LSU is finally putting all their playmakers to use, which is going to make it tough for UGA to defend. Ultimately if they can't contain Jeremy Hill then it's going to be a long day trying to defend Jarvis Landry/OBJ off the play action with the way Mettenberger has improved.

The defense concerns me a little as they didn't get much pressure on Auburn, but hopefully that'll change.

Wow just heard DT Easley tweaked his knee. And some reports say it is ACL but official word as of yet.

I swear this team has been snake bitten with the ACL injuries. And losing one of the best DT in college football right now does not help us at all

Easley officially out for the year. That kills us. Still a great defense, but they needed everyone to stay healthy at this point. Losing your best player on top of your QB, and your best offensive lineman for the year is just devastating to this team. Oh well, hopefully they can pull together a decent season. Hard to see six wins left on the schedule, though.
