I still dont understand why they couldn't just make the rosters random from the get go and do not give the option to edit players, this would kill the issue at hand. I really don't care what players are on what team at the start, by year four all the names are gone. Sad day indeed.

That's one thing that I "liked" about CH 2K8's discontinuation. I would have never made it 20 years into dynasty (playing every single game), otherwise. Hell, I'm still playing it (though I've not played the game in a few months).Comment

Yep, this was the logical next domino in light of recent events...
As much as I disliked the way EA football played out on the field, I was hoping for another product to compete with it, not for the only one we had to go away.
Good thing the non-sports games keep getting better and better to fill the void.Comment

Re: EA Sports Will Not Publish College Football Game Next Year, Future Plans in Doubt
I guess this would explain why EA was so quiet this year when it came to patches and why there has been only one patch. I always thought the quietness this year was strange, because normally would be marketing upcoming patches weeks before they even came out. This year, silence. Now we know why.
I do feel sorry for all those NCAA dev team guys who will get fired though. Because lets face it, Madden team is already large, so there really isn't any room for ALL of them to get transferred over there. I am kind of bummed out though there won't be any college sports next gen. Damn shame, the possibilities on next gen was endless.
Maybe EA will get back into baseball games now I guess.Comment

Stop trying to control everything and give deep editing options and controls to the user. Let the community take over the rosters and editing of logos/names, etc.
Side product is you save a bunch on licensing fees. Smarten up EA. Stop being so focused on buying licenses and focus on your product instead.Comment

Re: EA Sports Will Not Publish College Football Game Next Year, Future Plans in Doubt
I wonder if they just agreed to stop making the game for a year or two?
Would work out for them in creating a next gen version (sitting out next year), but the articles I've seen makes it seem like that they have to disband the team.
Not sure it's coming back soon or not. Either way I just got this year's now lolNintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Very very sad day.
I knew it was coming but was hoping the game could survive without the conference logos.
Guess that will not be the case.
This sucks.
This is the only game I play or buy. Been playing this since Bill Walsh days. Heck, I'm 36 now and look forward to this game. I'm probably too old to be playing this game anyways but oh well I love it.
The only positive is that I will get to go through a 60 year dynasty on this thing.
Hopefully this game can be played on the XBOX 1Comment

That sucks I liked 14 and I was looking forward to see what they could do next gen. What happens to the people that work on NCAA? It would be great if they were put on the Madden team and maybe Madden would be that much better.Comment

I just cant believe for the life of me that as a community, we cant break into this game, let the experts go to work, and keep moving this game forward, be it getting it onto a pc, or whatever.
Blows my mind with all the technology experts out there we seem to have our hands tied with making this work for ourselves...."Not the victory but the action. Not the goal but the game. In the deed the glory."Comment

Re: EA Sports Will Not Publish College Football Game Next Year, Future Plans in Doubt
Ever since I was old enough to hold a controller I was playing these games. They were being made before I was even born, so this is a very unfortunate day for me. Oh well, time to enjoy '14 for a long, long time...
Might just pick up a PS2 for '04 and '06.Comment
