Damn. I assume you had to fill out a form to receive compensation? I've been buying EA games for a loooong time and completely forgot about this. Is it to late?

Had to fill out a form, probably received a few emails if not letters. Too late now.

WHAT??? I thought they said the payout would only be like the price of one game...50 something dollars.

only reason I didn't take the time to deal with it.

Yeah, that seems to be more than the maximums below, which is where the first paragraph probably kicked in and bumped up the values of claims:

If you are an eligible Settlement Class Member, your share of the net proceeds of the Settlement will be based upon the number of videogame titles you purchased new, as well as the number of Settlement Class Members who submit valid claims.

Valid claims for the purchase of Madden NFL, NCAA Football, or Arena Football videogames for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, PC, or GameCube platforms (“Sixth Generation Purchasers”) will be valued at $20.37 per new game purchased, up to a total of eight units ($162.96).

Valid claims for the purchase of Madden NFL, NCAA Football, or Arena Football videogames for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, or Wii platforms (“Seventh Generation Purchasers”) will be valued at $5.85 per new game purchased, up to a total of eight units ($46.80).

Owen Good at Kotaku also says the per title payout increased due to the lack of claimants in the comments of his article.

I didn't file a claim because I haven't paid for Madden since 2004. I'm sure you can figure out why.

Nothing like American greed, taking advantage of the companies that make our favorite past times.

Seems to me filing is just bad for video games as a whole.

I hate frivolous lawsuits as much as anybody. But this was justified. This is an ignorant statement on your part. Read up on the lawsuit.

For the guys who just received your checks when did you file your claim? I filed mine on the last week to do so in May 2013. I hoping to get my soon, so I can buy some new games for the Xbox one with house money.
