I dk why people keep bragging about the crowd it looks like 8-10 models max.
Looks terrible to see about 5 identical twins sitting within shouting distance.Curently Playing:On PS3- Old PS1 RPGs (Xenogears, FF 7 and 9, FF Tactics)On PC: PUBG And Heroes of the StormI occasionally stream on twitch at twitch.tv/tcfclemsonComment

Euphoria engine in Backbreaker had more to do than just physics and tackling. It helped AI of your teammates and the player you controlled. (like when the ball carrier knew he was close to the goal line, reaching out with the ball)
If you played the game you could see that the -
Oline in pass protection- real double team blocking...with no canned animations...angles and physics determined results
Oline run blocking- offensive players constantly looking for someone to block...and down field blockers staying close to you to help block...and were not just running side by side with your or in front of you like in most football games.
I mean the game wasn't perfect and had its flaws...from basic stuff, to gameplay features important to football. But it was a real good start from a dev team overseas.
how do some expect the genre of football gaming to improve, if you write off something and bash it when its obviously trying to bring something new? Do yall actually think that EA would've brought physics that soon if it weren't for BackBreaker? Sure Madden 13 had issues, but the fact that they got it started is what was important..and all they can do from there is improve on it.
I'm not saying to blindly support other games, but if you want to see Madden make legit progress...then you are going to have to support whenever competition is around...which is rare. Support doesn't mean you have to buy the game, BUT don't write off what the new game is trying to do. You point out the good aspects of it, show EA Tiburon or who ever has said license..and you let them know that there is something else you know about that is POSSIBLE..and that they should take notice.
THAT is why you see people show gifs and example of other games. It was possible before...it is an example to go off.Curently Playing:On PS3- Old PS1 RPGs (Xenogears, FF 7 and 9, FF Tactics)On PC: PUBG And Heroes of the StormI occasionally stream on twitch at twitch.tv/tcfclemsonComment

If you want to call it a tech demo that is fine but it was a damn good tech demo. It showed that a full on RTP engine could work in a football game LAST Gen.Curently Playing:On PS3- Old PS1 RPGs (Xenogears, FF 7 and 9, FF Tactics)On PC: PUBG And Heroes of the StormI occasionally stream on twitch at twitch.tv/tcfclemsonComment

I go back and forth with my feelings toward the game. In the end I'm convinced EA just can't get football down.
Ignite is really looking blah.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Never. As a matter of fact, EA should just cease showing anything more after just a glimpse of what's to come from that game...Comment

I did like how, in that MLB The Show trailer, the lead designer comments that they don't want a game that'll take 2-3 years to get back to where it was on the previous console.
I'm sure it wasn't an intentional backhanded slap to those at Tiburon, but it certainly fits.
EA should've taken a year off and had Madden 15 be their first foray into Next-Gen. They clearly weren't prepared to make the jump this year.

Re: Madden NFL 25 Next Gen Video - War in the Trenches & Passing Pockets (QJB)
Good points man. I may not have been happy with the overall quality of the features it attempted from from a football standpoint. But I did appreciate the attempt. Overall, I stand by my opinion of the game from a football game perspective. But I do owe it a measure of respect for the reasons you pointed out. Thanks for calling me on it. Are we good?
I'll just speak for myself...I've let myself get frustrated on here before mainly because I feel I've been cheated out of a generation of my favorite sport. After years of enjoying many types of football games, sometimes at the same time...like John Elway Quarterback, Tecmo Bowl, Madden, Deion Sanders Football, QB's Club, NFL Gameday, NFL 2K.....
when the PS3/360 released...when games were going to take a huge leap..when I'd see games like MLB The Show....I just felt I missed out 7 years of what could of been. NFL 2K...maybe a resurgence of NFL Gameday....and of course a game Madden (with competition)...which is best Madden imo.
while other sport genres are advancing, we have to hear that there are issues with getting the font right on uniforms for a football game releasing in 2013. I can't shake my head hard enough. I'm not big on details like that, but that should NOT be an issue. It is UNACCEPTABLE.
in some other alternate reality they having been enjoying Best Madden...NFL 2K..and maybe other football games.
there is nothing we can do in our reality regarding the NFL license...but we can try our best to keep EA Tiburon (their management) on their toes as if there were competition out there. Make them have pride in their work (I'm talking management, I don't think it's the devs that are the main issue)...embarrass them publicly if need be, by showing them their allowed negligence.
anyway rambled off...yeah we're good..lol.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Next Gen Video - War in the Trenches & Passing Pockets (QJB)
On a somewhat related note I think if EA had more time they could produce a better football game. I don't think a Year is enough for them to put everything together anymore. I know the contract calls for a year by year release, but if a biyearly product meant a better one than I would be all for it.

Re: Madden NFL 25 Next Gen Video - War in the Trenches & Passing Pockets (QJB)
I think this is what it ultimately boils down to. Somewhere between the transition from the Ps2/Xbox over to the 360/PS3 something was lost. Madden put out some fantastic titles back a few years ago. Their last gen team was amazing and their were never any huge flaws involving the game play or franchise mode.

How many times or years have we've heard we want "better running animations," "better QB throwing animations." These two require motion capture tech. Is it really going to take one or two years to "motion capture" these animations properly, or can it be done in a couple of weeks or days?
My guess is "days" on the assumption that an athlete coming in for motion capture sessions is not going to want to be in studio for more than a week.
Honestly, i think it's a matter of "if" the Madden team wants to, and where their priorities are.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 25 Next Gen Video - War in the Trenches & Passing Pockets (QJB)
So excited for the show stellar franchise. Then when I think madden I get so sad, so stale, same old issues, have not bought it since 11, and won't this year for PS4 either...What is wrong with the guys at EA making madden? I love video game football, gutted madden is in the state it is, needs to be scratched and rebuilt, but too many people will pay 60 regardless of quality. Until people vote with your wallet, well, this is the madden we have had for what 6-7 years? Massive disappointment.
The movement and animations are a major issue, a sports game cannot move forward without nailing both, madden has been sp bad in this area form years. Some of the animations like QB throwing are just horendous.
Lets hope by 2016 it's decent enough I can fork over 60 in support again.Comment
