1 thing!
I know we had a thread for a Wishlist and for most of us with the now generated pitch count that has been answered. But I'm interested to hear what your 1 (and ONLY 1) thing you hope is added next yr to The Show?

Re: 1 thing!
I'm a edit guy, I hoping to be blown away by the options in editing. I loved the stance editor in 13. I don't remember hearing many, if any complaints over stances in 13 like in past editions of the show. I would like to see it developed even further to where we can use parts of existing players stances. I.E Joey Votto's stance but the ability to add Bryce Harper's leg kick and Josh Hamilton's HR celebration.University of Kentucky Wildcats 8x Champs

Re: 1 thing!
Statistics actually having meaning; along with attributes, to dictating what contract and what the player is asking for. Like what the show does, the last three years are looked at real hard for determining what the player should be getting. That would make franchise much more life like. There's enough room to add plenty so no more excuses.Harvey's BetterComment

Re: 1 thing!
So many things need to change if I'm going to sink 50+ hours into another franchise for a new MLB The Show game... I mean the game is good but they miss out on so much potential.
#1 and this is a MUST if I will ever play this game again
Tie player/prospect stat ratings to their performance on the field! I'm so tired of taking the time and effort to play good with a player and watch them hit .350 with 50 homers and not even improve, but some AAA kid with A potential hit .227 and his batting ratings soar up.... WTFFFFFFF?? Give us an incentive to play our games and try on the field instead of simming.
#2: Lower the number of 95+ players.
Seems like some teams have 10 guys who are 95+ .... 95+ should be like a holy **** he's good player not a "oh he's an average starter".
#3: Veterans tank wayyyyyy too hard
I understand people decline with age, but it's not like they go from being amazing for 10+ years to a 65 overall in 3 months. That's just silly, and like I said above, stat ratings should be tied to performance. If a vet keeps performing it means he has the skills and shouldn't decline, hell maybe even raise. If a young guy with A potential is playing like **** for 3 months, maybe he should decline a bit even though he's a young A potential.
#4: Show more info in-game and in the schedule screen.
People who like Baseball are usually numbers people. Show us some numbers and stats more often. When a guy is batting show all his ratings / stats on the left side, and show the pitcher's ratings / stats on the right. It would be fun to look at while you play.
On that note they don't show your ratings enough. Like #2 Batting, #7 Fielding etc, they ONLY show it when you are entering to play a game. It should be shown on your main Franchise screen, along with much more of a breakdown showing what you are currently and what you finished last year as:
Starting Pitching: #8 (#9)
Relief Pitching: #11 (#10)
Contact: #2 (#1)
Power: #8 (#9)
Base-Running: #27 (#22)
Fielding: #14 (#16)
Average Age: #4 (#3)
Overall: #5 (#7)
#5: Easier Roster to Manage
Without clicking on anything or opening any extra screen, you should be able to see their Overall, Age, Potential, League they are in, If they are 40-man roster or not, and current contract (4/1.7, = 4yr remain, 1.7mil per)
I get so ridiculously tired CONSTANTLY opening up the extra screen when I'm looking at trades, other teams while theory crafting trades, and managing my roster.Comment

Re: 1 thing!
Don't look at overall. I agree there's a lot of high 90's players, but you need to look inside the player and who they are. OVR is just a formula for all of their attributes being added up. Hell nobody even knows the exact formula SCEA uses, which is why it is almost useless to look at OVR. Yes it may be annoying that there are so many players in the upper 90's, but do some work and look into each players single attributes. Those are the only ones that matter. OVR doesn't mean a darn thing.
My number one wish would be an owner mode. Similar but better than what MVP baseball offered. That is my favorite mode from any sports game and what's crazy is The Show dev team could do it so much better. The technology is obviously better and as we all know The Show's dev team is quite good.Last edited by bwiggy33; 11-14-2013, 02:10 AM.NHL-Minnesota Wild
