B+ to A- for the actual gameplay. F for selling a game that was a beta at best and still steals money from you when it doesn't give you the VC you paid for (and for VC in general). F for having to be connected to the 2k servers to play. D for crappy servers. D for still having pretty major issues that they said the last patch corrected. F for online problems. If I'm going on a pass/fail scenario, it's a fail even though the core game is great. If they don't fix it and Live is still a dumpster fire next year I won't be buying a basketball game at all. -

on-court actual gameplay- pass/B- NEEDS TO ADD BACK DEFENSIVE ASSIGNMENTS
Overall/everything else- VC, online, "my" modes, scripted play, freezing, removal of editing/cap/30 TEAM association/season, lack of options,roster management, MENUS, etc -

If I had to give a grade, it would be a F. My gm mode is pretty much completely broken, my career is scripted and doesn't make any sense at times, and you need VC to do anything in this game. Not to mention I still get kicked out every time I select a game mode so I haven't been able to play for 2 weeks( no reason to play quick games). Hopefully 2K will get there **** together next year.Comment

MyTeam works. You finally don't have to farm to be have a good team. Meanwhile every other game mode has a TON of issues (gameplay does too). It's really a huge wasted opportunity. If they just fixed the simple things the game would be awesome.Comment

B. Gameplay and graphics are great! It is not an A just because the game modes, VC, and lack of content.
This gave deserves a B. Especially compared to NBA Live. Just think where we would be if EA had exclusive license of the NBA. You should be a shamed of yourself if you rated 2K a C!Comment

At least EA had enough courage to come forward and say sorry we screwed up, 2k puts in patches on next gen and the game is still busted and they just sit on their hands and does nothing to state the reason why the patch didn't work or what they are gonna do to make it right
Not trying to sound like an early sports apologist or 2k basher as I play NBA and WWE 2k and a regular madden player as wellComment

Should all the people that experience crashes every time they try to play mygm/mycareer mode be ashamed?
Or the people that have lost VC, mygms and mycareers to corrupted files be ashamed?
The only shame is the people that that can't see past their own experience with the game to acknowledge the serious flaws and glitches present for many others.
For the record I've had no problems with my 2k, but I'm not going to ignore the huge group of others that paid $60 for a broken game.Comment

The whole game package gets a D, almost F due to their fake support.
MyCareer, VC, scripted bs, crashes, bugs, more scripted crap, the fake momentum swings all get an F.
On court gameplay gets a B, which is why the overall gets a D.Comment
