Re: Best Skyline in the Majors
With apologies to Petco and Target as those 2 parks are the only ones I haven't been in , I couldn't agree more. There are several good ones. But nothing explodes upon you like PNC does when you walk up the aisle to the field for the 1st time. Probably still my favorite park all around. If you ever get the chance to go , don't pass it up !Comment

Re: Best Skyline in the Majors
I am very biased, but this has to be #1, right? It really is an incredible view and an incredible ballpark in Pittsburgh. The Alleghany River, the Roberto Clemente Bridge, the skyscrapers, and then the rolling hills of western Pennsylvania in the distance. Nothing like it. And then the inside of the park itself as well. The Roberto Clemente wall and the rotunda are beautiful. You have to go, and now they are winning team so you might get a good show too.Comment

Re: Best Skyline in the Majors
As much as I am biased towards Citizens Bank Park, which has a great view of the center city skyline, my vote definitely goes to PNC Park. I went to a Phillies/Pirates game there back in 2009 and to see that amazing view in person is absolutely breathtaking. So awesome. Can't wait to see a game there again soon.Comment

Re: Best Skyline in the Majors
Huge Cub fan, but PNC is the best skyline there is of the 15 parks I have been to, and it's not even close.Twitch - bluengold34_osComment

Re: Best Skyline in the Majors
lol, toronto has a skyline view from the stadium......Other than the CN Tower(which is only visible over the 1B side) nothing else really to see.
They should've designed Rogers Centre/Skydome differently. The CN Tower should've been behind the OF(so you can see it from the batters box) and the main roof piece is at 3B instead of the OF.Comment

Re: Best Skyline in the Majors
I think what makes Wrigley so great is the history, the skyline is ok at best, but just walking around Wrigley is great. That sense of history (history buff here) is what makes it great. The skyline? Not so much.Comment

Re: Best Skyline in the Majors
Okay, someone is a little too loyal to their team. I want to know who on earth selected Tropicana Field as the best skyline in the poll. A dome, really?
Whoever you are, I respect the loyalty... to a degree, even when it is arguably the worst ballpark in Major League Baseball history.
For the record, I usually hate ESPN's NFL C'mon Man! segment as they kind of beat it to death and it just gets plain stupid after a while. However, this kind of deserves a C'mon Man!Comment

Re: Best Skyline in the Majors
There's a legendary Chicago politics story about how US Cellular faced the high-rise projects to the Southeast rather than the Northeast which could have showcased arguably one of the best skylines in the world (biased I know). If you recall there were gunshot holes in the upper deck seats before the stadium opened.
Legend says there was an owner of a parking lot who was a friend of Mayor Daley and they decided to flip it the other way. Not sure it makes sense, because the footprint wouldn't really change. But maybe the way people would come in?Comment

Re: Best Skyline in the Majors
Love Busch III obviously, but PNC's view is spectacular. And this year, we got to really see what that ballpark can be with the crowd support.
Petco is having a lot of downtown renovation, so it might creep up on some as one of the best out there in a few years.
I'm also a closet Indians fan, so Progressive is my personal favorite ballpark in the majors. Not much to see on the skyline, but the park itself is tremendous.

I'm not a Rays fan, I just have a warped sense of humour
