Have any Madden NFL 15 gameplay questions?

I will ask them to some of the Madden devs tomorrow.

Gameplay questions only. Maybe a few presentation ones if you are specific.

Re: Have any Madden NFL 15 gameplay questions?

Are there any changes to how depth chart and formation substitutions are handled compared to Madden NFL 25? Ex. can I specify a slot WR before entering a game, either via a new depth chart slot or an out-of-game formation substitution interface?

With the increasing presence of platoons of tailbacks rather than a feature back, are there any changes with respect to how CPU teams handle running back substitution AI?

Do fatigue-based automatic substitutions and accelerated clock settings work consistently across all game modes? Last year this was not the case, in fact the settings were non-functional in some game modes outside of Play Now.

Thanks in advance for any of these you can get a response to!

Can we get confirmation that all 22 players have true step?

Will 180 lb running backs still truck 350 lb nose tackles without losing any speed?

Have they improved gameplay in bad weather? As in will the weather player a bigger effect in madden.

Sorry this is not a gameplay question, but if you get a chance, ask them what the hell "infinite grass technology" is?

Presentation question Steve, with the new NFL Films inspired camera angles, will we be able to save highlights (videos and photos) after games in online CFM's. It did not work properly last year. That way if we wanted to make montages or Top Plays for YouTube, we're not limited to the archived streamed highlight only.

Also, why can't the offline presentation be used for online? Can't we have it to where both users have to press A (X) to skip through the scene. Wouldn't that presentation help for immersion within the leagues?

                1. Does the playcall screen show both the offense's and defense's previous play call in all modes (as in, including online CFM)?

                2. What ratings are compared when determining advantage/disadvantage on the matchup stick for the O-line? For WR's it shows us numbers, but we only get a green or red circle to explain it for the line. Really glad to see this make it over from NCAA, btw.

Re: Have any Madden NFL 15 gameplay questions?

Claiming this spot. I'll re edit this post to include questions.

                  1. True step for all 22 players on the field. Is true step implemented for all players on the field? If not why is the process taking more than multiple development cycles? Because in theory, if implemented for all players on the field, true step would essentially take care of problems encountered with locomotion, momentum, and player movements, warping, suction blocking, suction tackling, etc.

                  2. Collision impact physics. Three/four object (player) collisions. Will there be 3 or 4 player collisions, with each player's impact trajectory affecting the initial collision? (With 3 points of impact, there should be 3 different "cause and effect" trajectory outcome) Example. Can defensive player #1 "hold up" a powerback like Lynch, and defensive player #2 attempt to do a shoulder tackle and change the direction of the first tackle, and defensive player #3 come in at third angle, collide, and ultimately change the angular trajectory of the 1st and 2nd impact collision, resulting in a 3rd impact collision trajectile angle. Sort of like a ping pong ball effect.

                  3. QB signature play, characteristic. Are there signature QB play styles? Example. Will the CPU QB, someone like Drew Brees pump fake to one side of the field, and throw the ball to the other side of the field? Will Russell Wilson scramble and pump fake on the run to catch the immediate defender off guard (i.e. Defender jumps, attempting to block a potential pass believing that Russell Wilson might actually throw the ball).

                  4. Ask about WR/DB interactions, but since I have read that it hasn't been addressed, I don't really have a question about it. The only question would be...would we see it properly implemented in Madden 16. Will we see "seattle's" type of DB physical play?

                  5. Can you ask about the following: post #24. http://www.operationsports.com/forum...-murray-3.html
Gameplay and presentation interview with Rex Dickson and Brian Murray
Not sure why link in number 5 isn't working.

                  ================================================== ======
PART II - This actually falls under the "Collision Impact Physics" question.

2b. Collision impact physics. Three/four object (player) collisions. Why is collision impact physics (or consecutive hit tackles) not respected or represented in all the leaked Madden E3 2014 footage?

                  <iframe src="//www.youtube.com/embed/NjBC6GJHlfU" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" width="560"></iframe>

The more I watch this video, however, what really sticks out like a sore thumb is both the 2nd/3rd defender in the vicinity are simply watching the first defender complete the tackle. There is absolutely no motion from either the 2nd/3rd defender to assist with the tackle. They stand and observe rather than aggressively engage.

Sure there are instances where the 2nd defender may engage and finish off the tackle, but that usually comes at the expense of the 1st defender completely failing to tackle the ball carrier. As seen in the first sequence in the video--this looks great (1st defender misses, 2nd defender completes). But if the 1st defender completes the tackle animation, the 2nd/3rd defender will literally stand and observe (check the time marks below).

Consider a goal line situation, or first down marker situation. If the initial defender engages the tackle but the ball carrier continues to struggle and motor his feet to try to get past the goal line or get past the first down marker, a 2nd/3rd defender in the vicinity needs to be able to throw a consecutive hit tackle to stop the ball carrier (Collision Impact Physics with three or four players (objects))

I had my fingers crossed, praying, hoping that I would see a 2nd and 3rd defender engage in a 'gang tackle' of sort but it never ever came to fruition. Unfortunately disappointed.

The following time marks illustrate the reluctance for the 2nd/3rd defender to engage the ball carrier.

                          1. Do camera men & people in the crowd still wear shorts & t-shirts in snow games? Will people in the crowd be dressed appropriately for weather games (raincoats, jackets, etc..)?

                          2. Is there a reason that players on the sidelines don't have their names on the back of their jerseys? Will this be addressed in the future?

                          3. Where are the cheerleaders?

                          4. Can we expect Signature Running Animations / Ball Carrying Styles & DB/WR interactions next year?

are there animations for jump balls? specifically in the end zone where they go straight up and fight for the catch?

also does the defensive line get pressure regularly without usering a d-lineman?

Can't ask anything CFM related until they actually start talking about it first. I'll then setup an interview at that time.
