Does FIFA have anything similar to Madden's Connected Career or NCAA's Online Dynasty

I'm new to FIFA, and I was just curious if FIFA has anything similar to Madden's Online Connected Career mode where I can play online in a franchise mode vs friends. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

No, there is no mode like that in FIFA currently. You can play with up to 10 friends on the same team though in an online league thing. But its not an actual manager mode or a real career mode.

Great question. Does anyone know anything about this? I'm really wanting to pick up FIFA because it looks like fun, but what keeps me interested in games like NCAA and Madden and extends their respective playable lives is the fact I can play with 5 of my friends in an online CC or dynasty that goes on for years. I feel like that's the one thing FIFA is lacking if true.

Ultimate team is too popular, and they can make money on that. Having a free online league would cut into people spending money on ultimate team, so don't expect it.

I think there is general agreement that this is the single feature omission that is holding the series back.

There've been no grumblings about inclusion in FIFA 15, though to be fair, we haven't heard much of anything re: game modes yet.

Please don't take my reasoning the worng way, I loathe ultimate team and see it as nothing but a cash grab, and I would absolutely love an online CMM. Infact, If they can do an Online Dynasty for NCAA, Connected Career Franchise for Madden, and GM Connected for NHL, Why can't they do CMM online for FIFA? Money is the only legit answer.

I think NCAA is the only one that's comparable because of the number of teams involved. Madden and NHL are much smaller in comparison.

A 32-team (dare I say, 64, even!) online manager mode would be awesome.

I have to agree with everything already said here. The lack of an online CMM is the only thing holding me back from purchasing or planning to purchase FIFA in the near future. I played the game recently and really enjoyed it. It felt like a fantastic shake up and something new rather than playing football games all the time. But I absolutely detest Ultimate Team in both Madden and NCAA. It's boring and feels absolutely useless. I never even play it. I spend 100% of my gaming time when it concerns sports games in a season mode.

Also, I wouldn't mind if FIFA limited it to 16 users as long as the feature was included in the game. Sadly this game mode is a selling point for whether I do or do not purchase the title. I appreciate all the feedback and information you guys have provided me with!

there are a lot of factors that I assume have prevented a working version of the CCM type modes in FIFA...

not just the number of teams but the number of leagues, teams, cups and tourneys that make up FIFA.

It would have to be cut down into 1 league minus cups and tourneys unless they found a way to logically track everyone. my buddies and I are dying to be able to play in a CCM in FIFA, heck we'd be down for the be-a-pro(pro-clubs) style mode where you could go to a team and compete against everyone.

we love pro clubs but it is a fake 10 game season and the ability to play fake cups... there is no cohesion, it would be so much better if the mode could be set against an actual season with cup and tourneys falling where they may.

FIFA isn't like NCAA where you have 115+ plus teams all competing towards the same goal on the same schedule... you have 600 clubs spread out across 30+ leagues playing different length seasons that start at different times on the calendar... even in europe you have 2 major european cups that play at different time through the season, the BPL plays a 38 game schedule while Bundesliga plays a 34 game season. and then there is relegation, would they include relegation to lower divisions. and transfers would require the lower leagues unless all of those players just went into a "Free agent" pool...
