We are monitoring and fixing issues in this thread.
Thanks for your patience.
The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
Annnnnddd as expected I come into this thread expecting this would be the response and I wasn't disappointed lol. The whining and complaining is endless but w.e.
Your face is scanned, you're in the game. You're ballin without limits. There's only one thing left to become a superstar. Produce your own Rap album Ala Shaq Fu on #TheStage.
I'll say that this is for #ThePark. The other courts are for #MyPark, aka OTP.
For the commercial, meh. I know that it's not "for" a lot of us here. What guys are missing though, is that the commercial IS for little Johnny at home who needs this in his life now because it's his first step to super stardom, regardless of whether or not he's ever set foot on the hardwood in real life.
Gone are the days where you can sit back at OS and get a plethora of nothing but gameplay and AI info. 2k has heard the masses, and like it or not, for marketing purposes, OS IS NOT the masses.
You're not saying so exactly, but the context of that statement makes it sound like 2k is not aware of or in service to the kinds of customers that are on OS. This is obviously untrue, with developers answering questions on here, and the fact that 2k has hired several people from OS to do work for them.
I think the issue that most people are having is not the nature of the information--it's been balanced so far--but the fact that it's all squeezed down into about a week and a half before the game comes out. I think it's a little extreme, but we have to look outside of 2k for a moment. With all of the other releases out there like FIFA 15 and Destiny, 2k is smart not to let significant information get buried by the 24 hour gaming news cycle.
I'd prefer they serve the hardcore and SIM crowd a bit more and save the embargo for the spectacle, but I get it. To paint their marketing as some kind of evidence of a casual mindset is patently wrong. 2k has been trying to entice casual gamers while satisfying the hardcore crowd for a long time now. Just like most game companies.
Man all these "2k fans" are the same people saying 2k hasn't changed/doesn't listen and its annoying. In my opinion we've been spoiled these last few weeks with 2K15 info. But whatever though people gonna complain anyway. As for the commercial it has me wondering what they'll talk about this week. Looking forward to it as I've already preordered so everything else is icing on the cake.
Imagine we're at the "park" basketball courts just outside an arena. You can see AI waiting in lines to get into the arena. Other players have a #/5 above their head representing the # of people on their team ready to play. If you and another person has 5/5, you walk up to him, agree to play, then proceed to walk into the packed arena. Boom.
For all the whiny, I'm sure spoiled when they kids, cry babies, you clowns do realize that this definitely targeted at kids! I pretty much guarantee you age 10-15 are prolly whining and crying like you, begging their mom to go stand in line for this game right now!! Telling them how they can be in the game now!

The commercial was creatives, but a little bit of park gameplay wouldve been nice. This was the equivalent of Ronnie and LD saying we are gonna have an announcement on our twitch stream today and when they actually stream all they say is we got big news coming
At this point alot of you are starting to get irrational about this game.
Its a TV spot. When was the last time a Commercial for a game took a deep dive, and got in depth? That just doesnt happen.
Outrage over the fact that ...gasp.. teens and kids play sports videogames? Oh the horror. Meanwhile most of you starting playing sports videogames as a kid yet somehow 2K should just ignore this demographic right?
Newflash, everyone who plays these sports game isn't a jaded late 20s to 30 something adult male
Once again its a TV SPOT, NOT A GAMEPLAY TRAILER. If you dont know the difference by now then just find a new hobby.
I have no problem with this commercial. Its just a damn commercial. Are they not supposed to make commercials now?
Then I'm seeing blog post saying "I WANT MY F******* ARENA" and comments cussing out the devs while trying to tell them how to do their jobs (as if you were a dev) Really?
There is a difference between constructive criticism and just spewing nonsense like the blog post mentioned.
You arent going to get everything you want in a game, but lets not act like these people didnt add a whole hell of alot of things that people asked for.
Also, it was mentioned that there were still features that are going to make NBA2K16 that didnt make 2k15. So can you relax and stop acting like Aholes please? lol
Try to find some enjoyment in the game, if you cant do that and you are so anal about something as harmless as a TV Spot, then its time to reevaluate this gaming thing you do in your spare time.
