The mistake wasn't starting Hoyer, the mistake was being unwilling to make a change once he proved he didn't have it. Pettine should've pulled him anytime between the 2nd and 4th quarter and we have a shot at not blowing the game.
Sticking with Hoyer was the mistake, starting him was perfectly fine, he took us to 7-5 give him a shot to pull out of the funk, he didn't do it and should have been pulled.
