    Prove Me Wrong

I'm a huge fan of the game. I bought live 14 and 15 and I'm so glad to see so many improvements.

But I've seen a few major issues after this patch. I feel the game is unplayable.

Since the patch shooting percentages have plummeted. I was playing against the Warriors and I gave Stephen Curry several open looks. He was missing several 90 rated shots. We ended the first quarter, both teams with under 10 points.

Several good open shots were missing. Percentages were literally in the 30s.

The only shots going in seemed to be the wide open ones in the post.

So it seems they took great shot percentages and just made them horrible. Definitely doesn't seem balanced.

On top of that late game ai problems still exist.

And as a Kings fan who loves to play in the post I can't stand playing in the post. There are the same 3 to 4 animations and they are dreadful.

On top of all that, Demarcus Cousins played against the Bucks and 24 hours later wasn't in the lineup. Michael Malone is still the kings coach, and Rudy Gay looks dreadful

I think players move more realistically in Live. Defense is great on NBA Live. I love dribbling in nba live.

I want to love NBA Live but the issues are too much. I have 2k too and I have Cousins back. Dorris Burke even talked about Ty Corbin . And Michael Malone was already taken out of the game.

Can some people make a case for Live? Without being too much of homers

I think you already have your mind made up. I agree the post up game is god awful and generic, they better be working on it for 16.

I say just enjoy Live for what it is. That's what I'm doing. I don't feel the need to choose between games, or root for one to topple the other...especially when I'm not in the payroll.. Each games bring things to table I like, so I play them both to experience those things. I don't get the obsession with pitting the two against each other. All I see is "other game" this and that.....things like ."I haven't even touched the other game". Ok, why is this a needed announcement? Just enjoy the game you like man, lol.....it just gets old.

Sorry for the random rant....not directed you or anyone else in particular, just my thoughts at the moment.

Id recommend finding something you can enjoy in Live, if you can't, don't force it. Stash it until another update which hopefully helps with your issues....or if it gets to that point where toy can't enjoy yourself at all....might have to let it go.

I have absolutely no issues with shooting % after playing 3 games today. I shot 54% against the Lakers with the Cavs earlier, including a ton of 3's.

Calling people Homers and asking folks to sell you on the game isn't needed though.

Not trying to call People homers. In fact I am a huge Live can. Anyone who bought Live 15 after Live 14 really has to be a loyal fan. Once I got Live 15 i really enjoyed it. I loved the potential. I love how players dribble, move, play defense, etc. It's these problems I listed above that bother me.

I legitimately think I could be doing something wrong. I mostly play h2h so I'm just looking and trying to see the positive benefits of nba live. Maybe someone has inside info on post animations in the next patch. I'm looking to be sold to help me see Live in a positive light. Because if my issues were fixed I would pick Live over 2k any day, especially next year. And especially after they made us wait ten years for a patch on Xbox one. Still don't have the patch btw. I just want some good perspective. Maybe aa few settings can help my experience be better, or maybe I need to practice.

I just want people to be real and let me knew what they think about my concerns, what is real, and what is just my fault, and also what may be addressed in the future

You may have already however have you gone through the tutorial for the post game? What exactly don't you like about the post moves? I will admit that I have not mastered the post moves in 2K but like Live 15 moves for most part. Off course there is room for improvement but once you start working the post you'll realize there is more there.

The animations are sooooo ugly. It's like there are only 2 or 3 basic moves that just look so ugly to execute. They aren't fluid at all.

I'm in this camp. I miss wide open shots but so do players in the league. When I'm able to get space to get a good shot off my success rate greatly improves and vice-versa.

I've go on runs and I also have my droughts. Personally I hope EA doesn't cave and increases shot %'s. This patch is exactly what I've been craving for

We will see if they are planning on adding or modifying post moves in the future. I have already voiced my displeasure with the ugly under hoop boomerang shot for example, however, I have found some good moves while working in the post. As evidenced by the new animation adds I won't be surprised with more changes to this aspect of the game in the future amongst others!

                    Re: Prove Me Wrong

Just played against the CPU to give it a shot. I honestly haven't played much since the patch.

I was a lot more impressed this time around. Played great abd I shot 48% and 46% from 3. Just had to get the new release down.

I guess I got used to the arcade style game it was before the patch. Now it plays a lot more realistically. Which made me compare it more to 2k. I guess I then started to get frustrated by the lack of animations.

The players move so fluidly and lifelike. With all the fluid and good looking animations 2k has the movement down the court, and clunkiness and slowness still exists.

One thing I liked was how it was more of a half court game. When shooting percentages are high it gets easy to play more arcade like and run down, get a quick 3 or dunk but now I feel like I'm more conscious about my shot selection.

I really really enjoyed it. 2k has frustrated me enough with not releasing their patch that I'm getting back into Live.

I just wish they would work on more post animations/moves, also the rebounding animations of jumping straight up are awful.

If they added a lot more animations this year it would be snagging. Then Next year they could add the game modes and work on fluidity. With good advertising they could make a comeback. Especially if they drop gameplay early.

WTF do you have any insight on if they are going to work on animations this year in another patch? Don't you have an inside source with EA?

(Press feel free to keep addressing these concerns people, would love to grow my confidence here)

That's good to hear. I'm tthinking I was in a drought. Getting unlucky on good shots and getting less greens due to not being used to it

There is a good bit coming down the pipeline. Stay patient, they're listening and will do all that they can.

Well it's good to hear that you invested more time into the game after becoming accustomed to playing a certain way. We are all creatures of habit and the same holds true with video gaming. One thing I'm not too certain about based on your new results is if there has been some tweak or other update to improve gameplay since patch 3. This is why we need some type of note about changes included in updates! I myself have been playing on All Star and noticing alot more shots falling in today. Will switch to Superstar to test for results.

In my case I really didn't have too much of an issue scoring although some makeable shots were missing a bit too frequently. My main issue has been with cpu scoring especially from mid range and providing a sufficient challenge. In other words more realistic gameplay. I see more of this on All Star but hope this has changed!
