Ohio State: Potential Biggest QB Controversy Ever?

If Cardale Jones and Braxton Miller both return next year, I don't recall a QB controversy as large as they will have:

Braxton Miller: Legitimate Heisman candidate. Senior, was a 3 year starter.

J.T. Barrett: Thrust into the lineup after the injury to Miller as a Redshirt Freshman and became a Heisman candidate before succumbing to injury.

Cardale Jones: 3 starts, 3 victories, all in Title Games, including the national championship. Appears to be the best pro prospect out of these three.

If I'm Urban Meyer, I know this is probably a good problem to have, but holy crap...who starts?!

That's the beauty for Urban. It doesn't matter.

One of them will surely be gone before next year though.

If I were him, I'd start Jones. It is comical watching college players try to tackle him.

I know Miller has said that he is going to return, but I just dont see him there come the Fall. He's graduated (correct me if I'm wrong) and he could go play anywhere else right away. I dont think Meyer can give him the job again considering what the other two have done this season.....especially Jones.

Meyer has three of the top QB's in college football on one roster.

Yet, Texas hasn't been able to find one competent Quarterback since Colt graduated.

        Cool.

Cardale has to be the starter right? After those three games I'd have a hard time picking someone else. Barrett will be backup while Braxton will probably transfer is my guess.

It's not the QB's, it's Meyer. All QB's look significantly better running his offense than they would anywhere else.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. Will be interesting to watch though.

Yeah it looks like Braxton graduated. I'm sure lots of top tier schools graduating QBs to the draft would be interested. It's too bad the Big10 transfer doesn't really allow in conference transfers; Braxton heel turn would be quite entertaining.

apparently cardale jones is making an announcement on twitter with a "life changing decision"

FWIW, Cardale told everyone this morning that he was gone. He met with Meyer about an hour ago. Everything appears to be status quo with what he said earlier, but this kind of thing can change by the minute. Mike Doss changed his mind as he walked up to the podium before 2002.

If Braxton is healthy he will start the season opener for Ohio State. But there are some very real concerns about whether his shoulder will be able to be rehabbed fully.

Also, if you had told me in October that not only would Cardale Jones quarterback us to a national title, but ESPN would spend the past 3 hours dissecting his potential NFL prospects, I would've laughed my *** off until February.

Cardale's coming back. Wow. This is going to be one helluva off-season. Thrilled to have the big fella returning for next year!

Also of note that he may be the only one of the 3 able to practice during spring ball.

                            He's staying.

                            Let the controversy begin!

I feel Braxton will transfer though, if his shoulder heals correctly. He can start pretty much anywhere in the country.
