    Could 2K Change 2K16 Platforms After E3?

I have been thinking that it's quite odd that 2K didn't release an official cover athlete alongside of the platforms and pre-order bonuses. Maybe this could mean they are attending E3 for Sony during their press conference. Since they had that exclusive content for 2K15 on PS4. Their relationship with Sony has grown since and could be even more after E3. So I've came across to the theory if the cover athlete is not revealed until E3. Then there could be a possibility that 2K16 is TBA at E3 Sony (PS4) exclusive. Please feel free to share your thoughts on this OS'ers!

I don't see it being just on ps4 I would think that would cost 2k a lot of $

NBA 2k series haven't attended e3 for several years, but they will release trailers in playstation conference, just like 2K14 and 2K15

Yea companies give out console exclusive bonuses. Whoever is making the new Batman Arkham game is doing this. So it's not uncommon. And they wouldn't destroy their business unless Sony is willing to pay whatever the sales of the X1 are plus a % more than just to sweeten the cake. Also what difference does the cover athlete make? Most people don't care about who the cover athlete is.

True but the Batman game won't have a 4 day early release on all pre-ordered platforms. I believe that 2K is waiting on the finals to end because of Steph Curry. Not just because he won the MVP and is still playing. But because he was apart of the Playstation Heroes program. This would be a huge deal and start to long term exclusivity for Sony and 2K.

Yea Steph makes sense. But Long term Exclusivity doesn't make any sense from a business standpoint for Take 2. They have the number one game on the market. It would make more sense for them to go to the NBA and get an exclusive license like EA did with the NFL. And if they go exclusive to only Sony they are destroying their game. Because they would be eliminating millions of dollars of revenue from their stream by going exclusive with Sony. It doesn't make any sense for Take 2 to take a chance and do this because these contracts are multi-year contracts. And we all know you screw up for just one year in the sports game industry you could be screwed for at least half of a decade. And by then your main competitor could have the upper hand on both markets by the time you come back to the market because you took a chance on something and failed.

What exactly are you talking about "holding out on the cover athlete" and why do you keep saying it?

The cover athletes are Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, and James Harden. Three covers just like Jordan, Bird, Magic covers.

How can it be exclusive if you can preorder the xbox1 version.

Also the ps3 and the xbox 360 get myTeam gold packs. So, another argument against exclusivity.

Yea, this info was released/leaked over a month ago. I guess people forgot already.

That info from Polygon to me is fake as can be. Click bait at its finest and everyone is delusional enough to believe that there are three cover athletes. When in reality 2K hasn't hinted at the leaked being apart of 2K16's cover lineup or athlete. So don't be surprised if that "leaked info" becomes completely fake after E3. Including the platforms the game is on too since the cover wasn't released with pre-order.

Maybe those are fake. Kevin McHale on the James harden cover, i just don't see that happening lol seems fan made to me.

Edit: looking at them more closely, it's just too much going on in the background, way too busy imo

Dude, the game isn't going console exclusive and never will be. They have just as big a market on the Xbox as they do on ps4.

There is no merit to your arguments at all.
