May 24th, 2015: Cubs @ Diamondbacks

Chicago (AP)-

"If I have hair left at the end of this month it might be a miracle." Was all one team spokesman would offer after the game.

The Cubs lost another one, falling under .500 for the first time all year. The Cubs had a chance at the win, had a chance at the tie, but the Cubs and new Reliever Travis Wood gave up two runs in the 8th inning that allowed the D-Backs to take the lead and allowed them to win the game.

The Cubs scored four runs off of the D-Backs starter, Ruby De La Rosa but the problem was, much like the last game, were unable to do anything useful against the bullpen.

At this point the Cubs will be scratching and clawing to remain on the hope of a .500 record. If the Cubs can get this Cold then the hope would be that they can likewise get just as hot.

We will find out next time as the Cubs go back home to take on the Washington Nationals who will come into the Series with a 24-20 record while the Cubs will go win with a 22-23 record.
