The Royals can hit.... The Royals can hit.... The Royals can hit.... I won't continue with that but as you might imagine, The Royals can hit. The Royals walked away from game two of the series with 18, that is not a typo 18 hits. They looked just like the team that were the AL Champs last year. Hitting the ball well all throughout the lineup.
The Royals also had a quality pitching performance from Chris Young who kept the Cubs off balance and benefited by some good defensive positioning to keep the Cubs from being too strong for him to handle.
The game got away from Cubs starter Kyle Hendricks as he could not make it through 5 innings and was pulled from the game after giving up double digit hit numbers.
The Cubs look to win their first series since May 8th with game 3 tomorrow.
