Some new uniforms coming for 2016

As usual some teams have updated their designs or introduced new alternate uniforms into the mix for next season.

I don't have time to link to them right now, but off of the top of my head Arizona, Edmonton, Colorado, Washington, and Montreal all have changes for the upcoming season. With a few more set to be unveiled soon.

Here is to hoping NHL 16 has these new uniforms, without taking any of the old ones out, and perhaps even having added some more vintage/throwback unis.

We need a prayer, the way this series has taken its turn. Wish they would go the route of 2k in nba, they have tons of uniforms. I feel like if they had some new jersey, they just take out the old ones. They never added Washington Caps Winter Classics.

Yeah I dunno why they don't add more retro uniforms .it would be also nice if they added some legends as well lindros, kurri,bossy ect...

Legends cost $$$ for little return on investment. Uniforms just take time to make.

Legends cost $$$ for little return on investment. Uniforms just take time to make.

somehow I think they make enough on ultimate team that they could afford it . You dont need a 100 of them like a few would be nice .They had the 2 teams a few years ago with Roy and whoever else but even with that they had duplicate players. If they did it in a way where they pop up in the the draft in be a gm that would be pretty cool .

I believe they wait until all alternative uniforms have been unveiled in a real game before they release those in the game.

Affording it isn't the problem, return on investment is the problem. Legends modes make no money for them and aren't in demand features. They are a game mode someone plays a handful of times then goes back to Be A GM, EASHL or HUT. The only place you will see legends is in HUT, because they make money off that.

Yeah I guess ur right . Kinda unfortunate that money is what commands what is/ isn't include in a game not how it used to be years ago .

I would love for them to add all of the logos, and let you at the very least create your own jerseys to import into your Be a GM mode. Even if we can't make our own logos and jerseys outside of the game, being able to re-do the jerseys for your favorite team as you wanted them would still be fun.

I would love to make the Blues' Alternates into a home and away primary jersey, with their current ones as a 3rd. It would be fun just to switch things up...and make the Blackhawks jerseys all pink.

Sadly, it seems like a lot of sports games are going that way. Upper management seems to see money as the only real gauge of success, which leads to just focusing on getting more money. A guy looking at the numbers for EA's NHL doesn't care if it's got realistic gameplay, great physics, and editable rosters. He cares if it's making money. And focusing on HUT brings in more people who will continue to drop more money than it loses them people who want a realistic game, and are frustrated with the current product.

I'm almost hoping that a company will come out with their own hockey game. The NHL license isn't exclusive if I remember right, and I would almost rather someone get a breath of fresh air into the series.

Create a team is different, but to actually have a team in the game called the Chicago Blackhawks skating around with pink jerseys is not media that the team or league wants to probably have out there. It becomes a case of pushing the envelope, not all customizing may be negative, but all it takes is one screenshot or clip reaching the public of something that is offensive or disrespectful and then you have lawsuits.

You creating a team and calling it the Chicago Blackhawks and giving them pink jerseys and whatever logo is apparently a different story than editing the team that exists, in the eyes of the law.

Oh, definitely. I understand it from both sides. It was just my thinking of the "most possible" scenario. I would kill for the chance to have the customization level where I can create my own logo in .png format in Illustrator, then import it into the game, and add it into the editor. That would be great for things like International jerseys that have gotten a bit...stale.

I feel like all of my posts anymore say "I wish we could edit players better" or "I wish we could edit jerseys better".

EA needs to drop some actual gameplay...I'm running out of things to talk about.

Agree. Been wanting custom uniform slots in all sports games for years, where we can use a web based editor to design our own set of uniforms for any team that we would like and choose to wear them whenever.
