Texas (1-3) 42, #4/5 Oklahoma (3-1) 28: Senior Malcolm Brown ran for 103 yards and four touchdowns as the Longhorns won their first game of the year against their bitter rival to the north. Texas rolled to 570 yards of offense in their finest showing of the season.
at #16/14 Ohio State (3-1) 63, West Virginia (4-2) 40: J.T. Barrett and Cardale Jones split time under center and combined to throw for 438 yards and 7 TDs against an overmatched Mountaineer defense. Russell Shell had a record-tying 99-yard touchdown run in a losing effort.
at Arizona (4-1) 37, #20/19 USC (3-2) 34: An old-fashioned Pac-10 shootout with both teams combining for nearly 1,100 yards of offense, over 800 of which was through the air. Cody Kessler (27/36, 447 yds, 4 TD) and freshman JuJu Smith (12 receptions, 251 yds, 3 TD) were an unstoppable duo for the Trojans, but two late field goals from Casey Skowron, including a 40 yarder with just nine seconds left lifted Arizona to their fourth win.
Clemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney had a big week on the recruiting trail, picking up commitments from three four-star prospects, including two from South Carolina on the defensive line.
Arizona and USC picked up potential stars at quarterback in Travis Waller and Ricky Town, respectively.
