Some NBA players change their kicks on a game by game basis -- we should have been given the ability to do this, too. And I've been wanting to edit rosters in Live15 to reflect free agency/trade player movement this offseason, but nope.
I mean, I guess, if they determined that in the grand scheme of things (refining gameplay #1, followed by graphics/animations, ProAm and other modes, etc.) that they just didn't have the resources & time to get editing in, and that the lack of it wouldn't kill the experience, I guess I can understand that?
But it's been 3 years -- a team should have been assembled to make sure this got into the game this year. I don't know what to say. This kinda negates the great things revealed this morning. Still hoping there's other big news, like classic teams coming, that would certainly blow my socks off again. I'm still going to get the game because I know there will be gameplay improvements, obvious improvements in graphics/animations, and the new modes ... but damn.Comment

Re: No NBA Player or Roster Editing in NBA Live 16 Confirmed
I know how this is going. First EA wants to capitalize on what 2K doesn't do as well. They need to cater well in that area to get causal sales in. It's not a surprise to me that they focus on visuals, online, a bit more. Gameplay will always be the main judge but they want to get fans first to buy the game.
Pro-Am and the gear can appeal to a lot of gamers than just roster editing. The road for Live is to start making the big, marketable stuff good, and then they can move on to littler stuff.

Re: No NBA Player or Roster Editing in NBA Live 16 Confirmed
As a supporter of this game the past two years, I'm highly upset that roster and player editing is once again left out. They update rosters very slowly and do very little player accessory updates at a time. I'm probably gonna pass on the game this year or wait for it to be on sale because I just don't have any trust with Synergy.twitter.com/Laneyville

One of the things I learned from being there is that everything is triage. It's not an excuse by any means, but even though I agree with you, I think we both have to be realistic that for the game's health, if they had to choose one, they made the right choice.
Now, whether or not they should have had to choose is something else entirely, but we are where we are.Comment

No NBA Player or Roster Editing in NBA Live 16 Confirmed
Guys they have automatic (Synergy) server based player and roster editing for the time being. The series just rebooted not too long ago. So their main concern first is most likely game modes for the casuals and gameplay enhancements for the hardcore like us. All the extra "specs" to the game itself such as "Player or Roster Editing" will most likely be implemented once they master the series and reach sale milestones!

Re: No NBA Player or Roster Editing in NBA Live 16 Confirmed
.... And I just cancelled my preorder. I'll be happier with NBA Live 2004 for the XBOX. At least there I can edit players and craft my own rosters. Come on, EA... It's 2015. This is an absolutely ridiculous and inexcusable omission. You added two toilet worthy online modes I'll never play only to neglect a fundamental element of any modern sports sim. **** this on the real.XBOX Series X Gamer Tag: AlsbronComment

I bought Live 15 i loved the gameplay but only good mode was ultimate team the others were so bare bones the big moments are boring nba rewind is not needed because i could do that in tip off and rising star has no purpose at all and dynasty is horrible there is no customizable rosters plus live 10 dynasty was better plus there was no all star weekend and no edit players....... Skip to this year no news on rising star or dynasty plus no edit players or all star weekend what are we supposed to play when pro am gets boring or what happens if a nba player starts wearing a headband and changes his shoes and wears a sleeve i cant update him but i will have to wait and see if ea wants to update that player or not smh im buying 2k16 the gameplay on 2k is worse to me but at least the modes are betterComment

Not surprised with the choice EA has made. They just don't get it. I would give them a pass if Synergy actually worked the way they pretend it does.
Thank goodness for the EA Vault
