Re: NBA 2K16 Developer Blog - MyLEAGUE, MyLEAGUE Online, MyGM & More
What I don't like is thisMost will never understand how much coding etc. it takes to do half of the things they do so it's pointless trying to get people to understand. I get their frustration as I'm a gamer too, but it's hard for people to understand why it may be harder than they realize to do something "small" like being able to choose jerseys in MYCareer. The man hours and lines of code needed for"small" things would make most of our brains pop.
It's one mode, really 3 in 1
We haven't even seen a trailer yet
We have this freaking huge blog after weeks of complaining about teeth and no gameplay and no info
Yet we have some to come in completely ignore EVERYTHING and pick out one thing they don't agree with and swash over the game like it might as well be DOA because its not EXACTLY how they want it.
Forget everything else right?
I can't even believe the amount of things here that was in that long post you made, yet thats still not enough, and then throwing shade around as if My League the offline game is not the core of the game, like "yeah im glad for you offliners but this is unacceptable"
We just sat back and watched them release a HUGE ONLINE MODE CALLED PRO AM (crew) whatever you want to call it, full customizations, teams staduims uniforms and leagues, because thats what the majority of onliners were complaining about and guess what
More onliners complaining again
This cycle of ridiculousness never stops with them.Comment

Im gonna go out on a limb and say that the myLeague online portion will begin to get beefed up going forward now that its in (and they know its stable). Lots of new complicated stuff in the online mode that would need to be worked out for online.
Also didnt 2k JUST deck out pro-amthis year for the online crowd. Its not like you got the **** end of the stick. Pro-am looks amazing in that regardLast edited by LionsFanNJ; 08-19-2015, 05:54 PM.HELLO BROOKYLN.

Re: NBA 2K16 Developer Blog - MyLEAGUE, MyLEAGUE Online, MyGM & More
One other thing I wanted to add... this right here is amazing. Of course the instantaneous part I'll have to see to believe but as someone who wants the full 82 game experience but doesn't have the time to play each game but I wanna have SOME control, this is in all likelihood gonna be my favorite feature in this game once again. It’s a very fun, and very unique way to simulate a game without actually playing it. Now, that being said, if you DO get the itch to jump on the sticks, you can freely switch between playing the game and coaching via SImCast Live with literally zero load time. I’m talking instantaneous switches. It’s pretty nifty.
And for those of you who loved the SimCast experience. Don’t worry, it didn’t go anywhere! In fact, it is also better than ever. You can now jump in AND out of games in SimCast this year. Heck, you can even start a game in SimCast, decide to jump in and play, switch it over to SimCast Live, then decide to finish the game on the sticks, only to later change your mind when you want to jump out and finish the game in SimCast. Total, unequivocal, full control in NBA 2K16 my friends. You can literally play/sim/coach/watch a game any way you can imagine. No other sports game offers experiences as robust as this.
I have a feeling I'm gonna be very frustrated with Wade but this is such a minor amazing detail that no other sports video game has... love this little addition as well.Multiple Injuries – Since the beginning of recorded video game time, a player could only have one injury at a time. In NBA 2K16, you can now have up to two simultaneous injuries per player.
It seems a little vague but this sounds exceptional if it is what I think it is. If you're allowed to say... extend the peak of KD merely cause he's a shooter a little bit longer and prevent some of the hardcore regressions that have occurred (and have been somewhat fixed) it's all the merrier.Customizable Progression/Regression – Every player in the league now has a unique editable entry called ‘Peak Start’ and ‘Peak End’. ‘Peak Start’ is the age at which players have developed as much as they can, and will not see additional ratings increases outside of training. ‘Peak End’ is the age at which players will start their inevitable ratings decline. This is all in your control now!
Off the top of my head.. for offline MyLeague I can't think of a single true feature that I am upset about that they missed out on. Oh, and also the addition of storylines is only gonna make the life of guys who do dynasties in that part of the forums on OS just got a tiny bit easier. Seriously can't wait for 2k16 now.NFL - Miami Dolphins

Re: NBA 2K16 Developer Blog - MyLEAGUE, MyLEAGUE Online, MyGM & More
Perhaps I should have used the word double speak which is essentially the hall mark of Orwell. Tell me taer; with all due respect; when a mode is given the identical name as a pre existing mode that is tangibly defined as a fully featured offline franchise mode, would it be such a leap to surmise or expect the equivalent, aside from the offline/online components? Most of those that complain have no experience in game development and/or testing and they do not realize just how unrealistic some of their expectations are. My signature applies to most complaining posts I've read in this thread. Even to a respected community member's post like amedawg's.
Using words like "Orwellian" is hyperbole of the same degree he is complaining about.
All I'm saying is that the naming of the mode was entirely misleading and unnecessary. If my fellow OA heads were able to battle through broken leagues in 2k15, then what makes you think, we won't fork over another $60 to VC for functional leagues in 16? 2k will still get our money and no one is threatening to boycott the game or jump ship to the competition or any other ridiculous statements that come from fairweather 2kers that don't invest a fraction of the time that OA OL vets do year in and year out.
Again, naming convention aside, the majority of us that hooped regardless of the broken 2k15 OLs with work arounds now have more tools to work with than last year because of what you may call "complaining", and yet we call "constructive criticism." Hell....didn't Simballer himself ask for our feedback with regards to the very mode that he detailed in the blog? We are appreciative of the functional online league mode that has potential to be extended with the custom roster feature. That shouldn't preclude us from providing feedback that offline heads have given and thus culminated in them getting the motherlode that OA heads erroneously anticipated due to the orwellian double speak of naming a mode "myleague online" when it has little resemblance to the more robust "myleague offline."Last edited by amedawg00; 08-19-2015, 06:53 PM.[OS Vets NBA 2K10 Champion]

Re: NBA 2K16 Developer Blog - MyLEAGUE, MyLEAGUE Online, MyGM & More
I've come to accept OKC Thunder for what they are. They've been in the league for a certain period of time, it's mentally ingrained in my mind that the Thunders in OKC is simply part of the league regardless of how they were establish. One thought related to a fellow community member's recent posting:
OKC will never "deserve" a team until the wrongs inflicted in Seattle are addressed. A stolen team does not "belong" in the possession of the thief regardless of that thief being a multi-billionaire friend of the ex-Commissioner or not.
I don't know the history behind the Grizzlies move from Vancouver to Memphis, probably not as much outrage as when the Sonics were gone (or maybe there was?). But the same with the Grizzlies, I see them as a Memphis team now.
If team expansion were possible, I'd go ahead first to create the Sonics but wouldn't relocate the Thunders. And probably give Vancouver their team back as well but leave the Grizzlies were they are.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Developer Blog - MyLEAGUE, MyLEAGUE Online, MyGM & More
Or you can compare their online modes to other games such as Madden and MLB The Show where you can do mulitple years and actually have free agency and drafts and see where they've done a horrible jobs. Please stop speaking on a mode you know nothing about and have no interest in. Last year's online leagues were a complete travesty and for months games wouldn't even register as having been played for months.his complaints may have been a bit too much, but the general point is ok.
b2topic i think 2k knows what they have to do in the future. the direction is right. they have set the bar high.
when you compare it with other sports games, they are doing a great job.
look at fifa/pes. there is no chance to play a franchise mode let alone league with you friends online.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Developer Blog - MyLEAGUE, MyLEAGUE Online, MyGM & More
The thing is that there is people spending 60 bucks every year for this particular little thing.
They are not doing that because they are crazy, that was something that made a lot of sense for 5-6 solid years of online association.
The fact that they rant a little even in days like today comes from a growing frustration that they have been farming for a long time.
Even if it's difficult to relate with them, and they are in the wrong, it would be unfair to ask so much of them, as it is to ask more from 2k today.http://www.anba2k.com/ - League for 30 spanish simheads

No it doesn't
People who love My League offline after going through years of no real big jump in franchise mode, even with it taking a step back
We have an intelligent poster like Lakers24 who created a Phenomenal thread very intelligent post, with well thought out points, pictures to demonstrate, very organized and easy to understand, that could not be otherwise disagreed with by anyone, and apparently the devs thought it was in line as well.
If someone wants to lie and say they never saw it then here it is. Probably the most liked post in OS history

And guess what, it didn't happen all in year 1 and people still didn't continue to complain and gripe and act like 2k took their grandmother to the woodshedComment

It will be a hard time do develop everything at once and make everyone equally happy. I have empathy with Crew/OL Complaints at some point. 2k is going in the right direction. But they can do anything they want if the online in game experience (input lag), server stability and gameplay it self does not hold up to the standards.Comment
