Hack-a-Shaq
Choosing who you could intentionally foul would be great for people trying to comeback in a game, or trying to slow the game down. Online the rules for excessive fouls should still stand, but late in the game this would be amazing. This could also effect who as a manager you'd play. Even in MyGM this feature would be great because if you take out Dwight Howard his morale could worsen.

Re: Hack-a-Shaq
To people like you (not meant in a rude way) who worry about it online...as I said the regular excessive fouls would still be in play. And just like in the real NBA using this in the last two mins has its penalties. So really it is for offline, but an occasional foul should be allow...

Re: Hack-a-Shaq
Even if it's not online, I play a lot of MyLeague and this would help me playing teams like the Clippers

Re: Hack-a-Shaq
Until NBA bans it, this should be in the game. Limited in online ranked games or ProAM, obviously.http://www.anba2k.com/ - League for 30 spanish simheads

Re: Hack-a-Shaq
I don't see the problem in Pro-Am. There's no subs so hack a whoever would eventually get you kicked. And every MyPlayer can shoot FTs. There really wouldn't be incentive to use it

Re: Hack-a-Shaq
I've been curious about this for a while.
It would make DJ and Dwight affect games more like they do in real life - and that's always a good thing.
Dwight can go for 30 but shoot 8 FGs in real life haha...... the online "potential disaster" may be a point - I am offline only......
But personally, I'd like to see it in there. It deepens strategy.
What would HAVE to happen is the CPU sub logic would need to be overhauled the same year it's implemented though. Otherwise Dwight will have 60 FT attempts...... I'd like to see him miss a bunch and the coach gets forced to remove him.Comment

Re: Hack-a-Shaq
I usually play guard with my friends and I'm one of the worst shooters usually but we all make FTs. Let them hack us, lolComment

Re: Hack-a-Shaq
It's not going to get banned , if you can't shoot free throws that is the players fault, not the other teams. Why penalize the other team for using strategy? Over 75% of the hack a shaq fouls are Deandre and Dwight, the NBA isn't going to change the rule for 2 guys that can't hit free throws.Last edited by gremdog8; 09-09-2015, 08:19 PM.Comment

Re: Hack-a-Shaq
If they ban it, they're enabling poor free throw shooting. I hate what it does from a viewing/entertainment stand point, sure.
But as a pro who is paid bucket loads, learn how to shoot free throws or ride the pine! Haha......
NBA players need to practice and get to the standard required. Changing the standard to suit the players CURRENTLY in the league would reflect a broken system in my opinion.Comment

Re: Hack-a-Shaq
It would make the game more authentic to current NBA standards.
NBA2k14. Even though the game doesn't necessarily seek to foul the worst FT in the game, my natural instinct is to sub out Andrew Bogut and anyone who gives me FT shooting fits near the end of the game or even the 4th quarter.
Hack-a-Shaq would definitely add an extra level of strategy in franchise play.
