Position Lock

Please tell me this wasn't removed. Does anyone know where this is now? I don't see it in the usual controller settings.

Ok I found a workaround for multiplayer Position Locks.

Notice I said Position lock and not Player lock.

Player lock does not work with multiple players on one team. Only Position lock works.

Here's how to do it:

For Players 2, 3, 4 etc,

Go in to the Main Menu of 2K16. Then Features/Options.

Under Options > Controller Settings

Choose the position you want to lock on.

Do this for the other players as needed.

Once complete, start MyLeague/MyGM.

For Player 1 and ONLY player 1, go into Options > Position Settings and set the Position Lock.

Once complete, start the game and you'll see that everyone is locked on to their guy and will stay locked on to that position until the game is over.

NOTE - you can select Player lock for Player 1, however, since the game can't sim because of the other players locked on to their position, you're stuck being the main ball handler until your Player that you're locked on to comes back.

Hope this all makes sense.

If you're in MyGM or MyLEAGUE, there's a menu called Position Settings under the Options header that lets you Player Lock or Position Lock. In play now, it should be in Controller Settings called Preferred Position.

Can someone let me know what happens on player lock(not position lock) when you're out of the game. I think I read somewhere a while back that it sims ahead until you sub back in? And do you control when you sub in or out?

If you have substitutions set to manual in coach settings, sure. Otherwise auto-subs apply.

OK does anyone know how to do a player lock for 2 people? I tried creating a new profile and it didn't work.

You mean like playing offline with a friend on the same team and or against eachother? I'd think you go into the settings and set your position, then the other player using the 2nd controller goes into the settings and sets their position.

Yes offline with a friend on the same team.

And no it doesn't work. Looks like you can only have one position Lock per gm/myleague.

I am playing MyLeague and I choose the position player setting. When my selected player is subbed out of the game. The game does not sim until I am back in. Am I missing something?

yeah once your player is taken out, the controls revert to user controlling all 5 players.
