Hey guys! Back again, and this time for Universe Mode. We have the what are your plans one, and now with the game out I thought it'd be a good idea to pump out the normal thread for everyone to start posting their Universe stories! Again, once I get the game on Monday I'll be starting up Universe, like MyCareer, and will be getting it all set up to post!

I had a couple of friends come over and we did a draft. I'll post the first few rounds and then I'll just post the whole roster, brought back the brand split (3 way).

Pretty disappointed we dont get cutscenes if we turn rivalries off. I want that wwe 12 universe experience.

Guys help me understand the fun your having with this mode? I jus don't get it. It seems so boring. I have a match, wait around for a 5 sec cutscene that's usually basically the same as always.

Posting mine and creating my own storylines makes it fun for me. I dont' worry about the cut scenes in the game and make up some of my own things.

So basically you make it imaginary in your head? I always plays this mode when the game comes out and then get insanely bored. Already played the first 2 shows in April (RAW and Main Event) and had absolutely nothing happen. Just match after match.

I don't understand how everyone makes this mode fun.

I create my own storylines. Even if something doesn't happen in the game I will write things up. Just the same there are some really stupid things that happen that don't make sense that I don't use (some teams breaking up that I am pushing for a title shot or random groups forming that dont make sense) I book everything on my own as do most of the others who post their Universes. It makes it more fun.

Yeah I think posting it for others to enjoy helps me make it enjoyable for myself as well.

Universe isn't fun unless you make it fun for yourself. The game mode itself is actually very flawed, however, I enjoy it. I enjoy wrestling, I enjoy wrestling games. Then like Wis, just creating stories in your head and writing down your own stats and everything makes it insanely fun.

I think a couple of major things that break Universe mode for me are that:

- Rivalry matches take place almost every week and not just built up to the PPV. Dear God, how long has this been an issue now? I understand that the storylines probably aren't in depth enough to stretch them out without countless matches, but it needs to be fixed. For years it has been complained about and for years it has remained the same. And the fact that changing the match ends the rivalry is infuriating.

- They really need a lock-to-player option, while also incorporating some of the elements from MyCareer. Not everyone wants a full blown wrestling simulator, and in fact there are games out there that do that much better (granted without the ability to actually play the matches).

My purpose for playing Universe is to take one superstar, take whatever the game throws at him and play it out. Whether I pick Brock Lesnar and leave a trail of destruction or play as one of the NXT guys and work my way to the top, I should be able to do that - the functionality is all there.

Now, you might be thinking - why can't I just nominate a wrestler and do this anyway? Well, i've tried, and it works for the most part but you may end up going months without a match, and the AI needs to be more mindful in how to book the player controlled character.

Again, the functionality is there already! Now, if they could incorporate some of the features from MyCareer (why match ratings are not universal across all mode, I don't know) that would be great. I do like the new effects and abilities gained in Universe, as it adds a little extra.

- Rankings should be more dynamic. For me, the roster would separated by Main Eventers, Upper Midcard etc like the previously mentioned simulators, and belts would be assigned to these divisions - I.E. Main Eventer for the top title, Main Eventer and Upper Midcard for the second title and so on (but all down to the user preference). This should also help the AI be more logical in picking its matches for shows.

It would also be nice to have a 'Legends' category, so that the AI would be smart enough to book guys like The Undertaker, Sting on a limited basis.

Another thing this would solve is having to manually remove wrestlers from the rankings for a specific title (an essential process for every Universe mode!).

I turn rivalries off and book EVERYTHING on my own. I hate when you have 3 rivalries on and they end up taking almost half of the card every show.

You can turn on and off which titles a guy is eligible for (at least in the past you could) and it would than book things differently based on that.
