Game of the week... SEC Biasm...

So I have been playing this game for years, and in every single Dynasty I ever play... The game of the week is handed to the SEC no matter what... It's really annoying. For example, (0-3) Tenn vs #18 (3-0) Florida is the game of the week, as opposed to a #2 Texas vs #3 WV! Are you kidding me!? There's no way college gameday would go to Florida over Texas in that situation. Needless to say, "game of the week" is a complete joke. This is not just a one time thing, it happens week in and week out, regardless of teams records or any other factor, the "game of the week" is completely flawed... Does anyone know how to fix this? I play PS3.

I've seen games where 2 top-5 teams were on local tv whereas a rivalry game between 2 teams with losing records are on national tv.

Firstly, it's definitely not the SEC every week. There are various conferences with the GOTW. Here is the current GOTW in my dynasty and you can see it's not the SEC (in my experience not even half of the GOTWs are from the SEC).

The problem is that, as you said, it doesn't take the current season or how teams are doing into consideration.

Basically what they did was to look @ the 1st schedule in the preseason and choose which games would be the GOTW every week based on how good teams should be at the start of the season. Then they have those games as the GOTW every year. In 2013 Alabama v. Auburn should've been an awesome game so it's almost always the GOTW.
Michigan v. Notre Dame? Yes sir!

How would Alabama vs Auburn have been considered a great game via preseason in 2013? Don't get me wrong, Alabama was preseason #1. But Auburn was preseason #50, not even in the top 25. Not going to lie, every single dynasty I've ever done, Alabama vs Auburn has been game of the week everytime in week 13... Even if a #1 OSU vs #2 Mich was playing...

Were you undefeated in that dynasty? I know for me, if I go more than a season undefeated the rest of my games until I lose will be game of the week.

Thats odd...it varies a lot in my dynasties. I've seen GOTW from every conference, including C-USA, MAC, and MWC. It changes week to week a lot for me.

Really!? I've literally never once seen a non-power 5 game of the week, I have a very hard time believing that... Once in a blue moon I'll get a Notre Dame-USC gotw outside the SEC, or some game of that calibur.

In my Boise State dynasty some of my rivalries become game of the week. Granted in that dynasty I've won a few 'ships with them.

But it happens in other dynasties too. I've seen Boise State Vs. Fresno State and Boise State Vs. Hawaii. For it to be from a non AQ conference, both teams need to be really good. It usually happens late in the year, when one is undefeated and the other has one loss. Through the first 10 weeks or so its almost always power 5, but SEC doesn't get it more than others from my experience.

Heh. Coincidentally this week of my current dynasty has a blue moon.
