Pitching ball glitch
So I know this has been discussed before, but this has been getting progressively worse for me and I'm not sure what to do about it. Is anyone else having this issue? Basically as soon as I touch the ball my player pitches it behind them. Doesn't matter if I'm on offense, defense, or special teams. First chance he gets my player pitches the ball behind him. I've used several controllers, even dropped $55 on a brand new one, deleted my game data and everything. I'm at a loss of what to do now. This game is completely unplayable the way it is right nowCheck out my dynasty thread:

Re: Pitching ball glitch
I guess that's possible. I could try using the charge cord (I'm on PS3) and see if that helps. But I think even with that plugged in the controller still uses Bluetooth to communicate with the consoleCheck out my dynasty thread:

Re: Pitching ball glitch
Odd, I've never seen that before on 360.
I occasionally get a pitch knocked down and it is called an incomplete pass but I just chalk it up to poor officiating and move on. Ha

Re: Pitching ball glitch
So I went and got an off brand wired controller and it seems to be working. I'm thinking jello must've been right about something interfering. Just weird because nothing changed in what was around my console or anything like thatCheck out my dynasty thread:

Re: Pitching ball glitch
Glad this was FINALLY addressed. There was a time where I would pitch the ball behind me without meaning to about 3 times per game. I would be doing a running play and before I realized it my finger would slip and grace the L2 or L1 button and the ball would be pitched 15 yards back. What I did do fix this is when I play a normal game I will keep my left index finger near the L2 buttons just because of instincts but when I play NCAA I will drape my left hand fingers against the back of the controller so I have no instinct to touch the L2 or L1 buttons and I don't have this issue anymore. It's extremely awkward but at least I don't screw myself with many unnecessary fumbles.Comment

Re: Pitching ball glitch
It has nothing to do with hitting the button. I know 100% that I didn't hit the pitch button. It's some sort of glitch in the game or controller interference or something.Check out my dynasty thread:

Re: Pitching ball glitch
I thought it was just me. But it's happened a few times, and at least once in a critical game situation. Not good.Comment

Re: Pitching ball glitch
I think I've only heard of this issue on the PS3.
As for your incomplete pitches, it's not bad officiating, it's an incomplete pass. Some option pitches travel forward which makes it a pass and not a run. That's why on some options the pitch guy will get a reception instead of a carry. In every replay I've watched of those plays the ball did in fact travel forward.Favorite Teams:

Re: Pitching ball glitch
I've never run into this on my 360. The issue I run into is that hitting the catch button produces no result. I.E. I move into position for a pick and hit "y", only for my player to do nothing. It doesn't work probably 50-60% of the time, minimum.
Seems each console has its issue.Comment

This is because of ball hawk. If you use ball back (hold y) it works very (too) well.
I think the issue is because ball hawk uses the same button as catch. When you're pushing Y you're not "catching" but instead "beginning ball hawk." Then when you let go of Y, you're ending ball hawk prematurely.
EDIT: Also the game has a great feature (IMO) that if your guy isn't looking back for the ball, he can't catch it (how could he?).Favorite Teams:
