Re: Madden NFL 17 Video - New Juke Moves and Score Bug/Banner
He plants off the left, shifts weight to the right, then cuts back left.I like the look of the juke animation but the little things are all messed up.
The running back is running at an angle full speed ahead towards the right sideline and plants on the inside foot to juke back to the left. There's to much going on in that juke to make that even possible. It should've been more of a cut up field if a plant is coming on the inside foot. That all needs slowed down. To much twitch in that juke going on there for a full speed cut.
It's little, maybe other people see it differently but the little things hold back gameplay in this series starting with straight line running animations.
edit. after watching it closer maybe the running back is planting with the inside foot to set up the juke to the left on the outside foot shifting momentum. maybe I could get clarification. as I mentioned the new juke move really looks classy, much improved.Comment

Would be nice if they could use both scoreboards. Use one for Sunday day and night and use the other for Monday and ThursdayComment

Re: Madden NFL 17 Video - New Juke Moves and Score Bug/Banner
I'd love to see this as well and as far as I know it's still a possibility, at least until a dev says otherwise. But I'd imagine that would be something that they would talk about in either the CFM or presentation blog which will likely be the last two to drop. They've had so many different layouts over the years that they could easily have had one for AFC, NFC, SNF, MNF and TNF by now.Would have loved to see them keep the old score banner in there along with the new one for CFM Presentation purposes. Have one for NFC games and one for AFC games. Then the away team determines which score banner is used during NFC vs AFC games.
But still looked good to me.Comment

It's a small thing that really does add a lot. Hopefully they did decide to keep the old one as well.Would have loved to see them keep the old score banner in there along with the new one for CFM Presentation purposes. Did anyone mention if there will be multiple jukes?
Did they keep the old one or was it completely scrapped?
Not everyone jukes with such a wide stride. It is a nice juke though.

Good catch. I think 42 was the guy who got sealed by 87 on TB. We just never saw him break out in the gameplay angle.Comment

It said in the blog that every player has an animation that ranges from Lumbering to Elite (not sure how many categories are in between but the article read like there was only one). There are also "modifiers" (Speed, Precision, Steering) that can be applied so it sounds like there could be at least nine different juke moves depending on the player and how the juke is executed.Comment

Can we please get this camera angle in standard view or without zoom! Every major sports game on the market lets you adjust height and zoom of camera angles accept Madden. Come'on man!Last edited by SportsGamer94; 05-26-2016, 06:21 AM.Comment

See how on most jukes the ball carrier decelerates and shuffle their feet a little just before juking. That's what Madden lacks, in Madden the ball carriers go from full stride to immediate juke move, it's way to fast and instant.Last edited by SportsGamer94; 05-26-2016, 12:04 AM.Comment

I know everyone is focusing on the jukes here but man that new scoreboard is slick. Always love when they get updated in sports games, having the same board several years in a row gets boring to look at.

Re: Madden NFL 17 Video - New Juke Moves and Score Bug/Banner
I like the new ticker; the juke move looked good, and I also saw the left tackle accelerate to take on the ROLB, wish the video didnt have the text over the play, but I think we all wish for that;
Considering the low level the play was probably created on, and the fact that ratings are driving what is transpiring on the field, I am not concerned about players playing out the play perfectly, as I cannot think of a perfectly executing player...
There was previous mention of the defender being blocked by TB's 83, and questioning why the defender let the RB pass behind him, well, I took a closer look, and correct me if I am wrong, but I believe 83 held the defender; looks like 83 hooks the defender just around the collar; it does appear that way, and it also appears the defender was trying to break away for a tackle attempt.
I also believe the juke move and the result of the defender being faked out, seemed to show a lack of the usual suction; anyone else watch for suction?
EDIT: what truly concerns me is why the FS is just sitting in center field in his initial pre-snap stance throughout the whole play? (please tell me that was a user controlled player and they held him there to prevent the tackle.)Last edited by 4thQtrStre5S; 05-26-2016, 02:57 AM.Comment
