Idk I might be in the minority but these opening cinematics are starting to become played out & seems like a waste of resources. Don't get me wrong, they look cool but I remember last year a dev saying they took super long to make & were very expensive. I just think the money & time could be better spent on other aspects of improving the game.

I dont think the development team is working on these videos. they probably have different departments, one of which is for producing trailer videos such as these. its not likely a matter of 'should we improve the game or make a trailer video?'. the same people who work on getting features/updates into the game probably aren't the ones who make the the trailers.

Man I'm loving that commentary. I'll believe it's in the game until I hear it for myself. Willing to bet that bit before the kick was scripted just so for this sequence. The other part sounded really good though. And more natural to in game. Also, I'm noticing a lot of tunnels walk outs and pre game huddles. That weren't mentioned in the blogs. Are these just for the trailer or are they in the game. Can anyone confirm? Really nice touch if they are.

They should be careful with cinematic versions of madden because I'm still mad I never got that amazing looking madden from like 13 years ago where the eagles are playing the Giants.

I'm just gonna keep it real here. That cinematic "Gameplay trailer" we got for Madden 06 looked like hot garbage. I never understood why people actually wanted the game to animate and look that way.

it looks like garbage by todays standards. but back in the days of the ps2/xbox era, it was absolutely jaw dropping to see.

Yeah to some for sure, but, even when viewing that trailer I thought the PS2 game animated WAY better.

The commentary and coaches look great....But somewhat disappointed that I didnt see any really new animations beside that spin move(2x) throughout the whole video...Hopefully the game will have alot of new animations but you would think they would show the new ones as much as possible in videos like that...just a thought!!

I know it's not going to happen, but it would be cool if they added one of these each week (best moment of the week)since they are updating commentary.

Obviously couldn't happen cause they would need players and coaches to come in and do voiceovers as well. But would be a fun weekly feature in my opinion.

Honestly ps2 madden still animated better than current maddens. In many areas.

I liked the trailer. It puts you in the realm of football, but I wish they would tweak the lighting and shading to look more realistic. There was a big jump from madden 25 to madden 16 graphically . I can't tell for sure unless I have both madden 16 and 17 side by side, but it does seem the same. Commentating seems like it will change how the game flows.

Commentary sounded good..referencing the distance on a previously missed field goal and how long the players been in the league. Still need to hear some unedited gameplay playcalling...not the cinematic stuff.

Madden is getting to where it should be but still has a ways to go. Hopefully they scrap the current player movement/interaction when th ey switch to frostbite in '18

The commentary was real good in the trailer but what I want to know is if we will hear that in the game or if they just recorded it for the trailer?

That may be true but it's still coming out of the overall budget to make the game. It's not like they have unlimited resources. I'm sure these cinematic opening scenes take a big chunk of the pie.
