Re: The King's Gambit
A Cautious Injury
November 23rd, 2015
It was early in the fourth that Cousins was taken out precariously, despite the Kings still very much being in contention for the W. To those not in the know, the Hornets ended up winning the game by one tonight, something that likely wouldn't have happened had Cousins been there.
After being taken off, with cameras pointed at him, Cousins and head trainer Manny Romero moved to the locker room, seeking privacy. The game has been over for hours now and we still don't know what happened to DeMarcus. Well, that was before the Sacramento Bee got the inside scoop.
Word from an inside source says that he suffered a bruised hip. Not typically a serious injury, this one clearly sidelined him for the rest of the game so we have to worry, will he miss extra time as well?
Whatever the outcome, with that injury confidently said to us, we feel it won't be serious, and if Cousins misses games it won't be for long. In fact, we may be overblowing this and he may not miss any games at all, just likely see a reduction in minutes. If he's day-to-day or anything more serious the Kings are forced to report it, so keep your eyes peeled to the Bee for your latest updates. If we hear nothing, well, that's exactly what we want.
