Madden 17 CFM: Coach vs Owner

Just wondering what everyone is playing their CFM as, coach vs owner? I've always gone owner in years past, but I'm wondering what the positives/negatives of playing as a coach would be vs playing as an owner.

I'm trying to figure out the same thing. As coach I can edit what my coach looks like. As an active owner there is a bug where coach schemes won't save. So it's either custom owner or coach. I think I'm going custom coach as I don't want to deal with fixing stadiums or money besides the cap. No desire to move my team.

Playing as a coach for the first time in years. Owner mode did not get any updates vs previous versions while coach is more in depth.

Too bad as coach you can't pick your trainer and scout staff members.

Playing as a coach for the first time in years. Owner mode did not get any updates vs previous versions while coach is more in depth.

What are the coach updates? Are they only available in coach and not as playing as an owner?

I'm torn, because I really don't care about managing hot dog prices, but on the other hand, I do like the idea of getting to hire/fire personel. I'm just not sure what exactly the differences are between coach and owner beyond the team moving and concession/parking stuff.

Everything you can do in Coach Mode you can do in owner. So you're still the coach.

Really in owner mode you're adding all the financial stuff, plus the ability to hire a staff and fire your coach (In Soviet Russia the Owner Fires You).

There's also media stuff, fan happiness, etc.

If you're just looking to play and build a roster, go coach mode. If you're interested in running the entire franchise from trainer to talking to the media, go owner.

I do both(separately). In Owner mode I sim the games and do the Owner things. In Coach mode I play the games.

Is owner mode still bugged like in years past? There were issues with some teams about the funds. Small market teams would go in the negatives which led to complications to re-signing the players and signing free agents.
Anybody knows about it?

Coach updates include setting your season goal and gaining XP for achieving it. There are tons of presentation upgrades connected to coach mode in game and post game XP upgrade scenes.

The differences you pointed out are the only differences.

Owner mode is not bugged like it was in Madden 15. In M15 there was a funds/small market bug, but this was fixed in M16 and we were given the ability to add funds to teams if needed.

In M17 teams will relocate even if you play as a coach. Is this new?

I thought till last year relocations only occured if you play as an owner.

Because of this the only benefit to play as a coach are the packages.

I can't decide which way to go this year.

In the league settings you can disable relocations. I have not tested the setting to see whether it's bugged and CPU relocates even if the setting is disables. Assuming it is not bugged, the short answer is no.

Dude, I knew there was something fishy. I thought I was crazy or was missing something. This is really stupid and needs to be fixed ASAP. I'm playing offline, too, so if I have to restart my franchise after they patch it (if they ever do), someone's getting hurt.
