NCAA 14 Playoff Mod PS3 Tutorial
Can someone link me to a tutorial that either is a video or a step by step list of how to mod the playoff in to the ps3 version of ncaa 14? I have been to the main thread for it and followed the links but I am still very confused. I don't want someone linking me to the main thread because I've searched there for a long time and still haven't found it. I just want a direct link to step by step instructions for how to put the 4 team playoff in the game on the PS3 VERSION. ThanksTags: None -
Re: NCAA 14 Playoff Mod PS3 Tutorial
I 2nd this Ive been trying do a test dynasty to figure out how to use bruteforce to edit future recruits schedules s or anything i can get figured out so far I have my save on bruteforce, the ea db editor, xan's dynasty etor, param sfo editor, hxd hex editor, excel and my files on a flash drive. i cant figure out how to extract file from bruteforce and put it on my laptop. i have a hp stream notebook if that maters. If someone would be kind enough to make a youtube video for us ps3 guys Im sure there's more than few who would really appreciate such a guide since I cant really follow verbal steps especially when I dont know what most of them mean. Ive looked at several and still only figured out maybe 3 or 4 steps but not the order. Please help us out -
Re: NCAA 14 Playoff Mod PS3 Tutorial
After lots of trial and error, I've been able to pull up a test dynasty onto bruteforce. I've been able to decrypt PFD and pull up the file to NCAA dynasty editor. And that's where I'm stuck, I cannot find instructions on how to use/edit the dynasty editor. It's very frustrating that after all these yrs and the popularity of this feature for this game, we haven't had a better step by step for ps3.
UPDATE: never mind I got it working!!Last edited by geauxcro; 08-27-2017, 08:34 PM.Comment

Re: NCAA 14 Playoff Mod PS3 Tutorial
Does anyone know where I can find the pocketscout generic editor config? The link in the main thread no longer works. Xan's dynasty config stops working after a few seasons, but pocketscout's works great. The hard drive I used to use for the mod crashed recently and I'm trying to put all the pieces back together. The only thing I'm missing is a usable config. Any help would be appreciated.Comment

Read the end of the playoff mod thread where I had the same problem... all the info you need is there and worked for me.Does anyone know where I can find the pocketscout generic editor config? It is a great tutorial on how to do both a 4 team and an 8 team playoff. The beginning part is for XBOX, but once you get it into the editor, it's the same on both consoles.Comment

Re: NCAA 14 Playoff Mod PS3 Tutorial
For bruteforce, this was the tutorial that I used to figure out everything. The editor is the same for 360 and PS3. I'll quote it below as well. It does a good job of explaining bruteforce. Just replace step 7 with the playoff. Once you get into the editor, those videos do a great job of explaining what to do from that point.
For anyone looking for Pocketscout's Config Still
Bruteforce Tutorial
Yes its possible for ps3 and i found a way!!its not my editor, but u can edit ps3 files in the dynasty editor and the generic ea editor, so credit to the makers of those...before i go on, how many are interested?? im not gonna go full out if 2 people are gonna use it
UPDATE
ALRIGHT HERE IT IS (THX TO A MEMBER ON THE NBA FOURMS FOR DIRECTIONS 1-5)
1. Download the program called bruteforce save data which can be found here. Install the program.
2. Save the roster or dynasty file that you want to edit on to a USB.
3. Open Bruteforce with your usb attached to your pc or laptop it will then ask for your profiled id of your console which then choose the file called Param.sfo. This file allows for the program to recognize your console unique ID. It will update this so now your should see next to profile a whole bunch of numbers and letters this is what you want to see.
4. Now select the path for savedata tab and select the location of where you put your save (it is easier just to leave the files your USB since your not moving files back and forth but it is up to you)
5. Now you should see your save appear under the name tab with all the other information of your file such as time created console id amongst other things. Now what you wanna do is click on the decrypt.pfd tab on the bottom toolbar. it will ask to decrypt all files and select yes now the bottom left corner should be green meaning that the file has been decrypted.
6. Now close out of Bruteforce, and go in to the folder/ the save (BLUS31159-ROSTER-**rostername**). Locate the file "USR-DATA" and right click>>rename. now add .MC02 to the end of that.
7. Now you might be asking "What program do i use to edit?" i am recommending using the dynasty editor to edit the roster file..i am still working on the generic editor, but it does work. just open up the usr-data.mc02 file in the editor and edit away.
DOWNLOAD HERE
8. Once ur done, save it, then go back to the folder/ the save (BLUS31159-ROSTER-**rostername**)..right click, rename the usr-data.mc02 file...just delete the .mc02 part.
9. Then open up bruteforce, and click refresh a few times. then u want to encrypt the files.
10. LOAD UP NCAA AND PLAY!!!Last edited by DatGuy12x2; 11-28-2017, 04:22 AM.PSN: Dat-guy12x2Comment
