Re: How is your dynasty going
If you go to Timeetyo's promotion/relegation system page, he lays it all out. The rules, where everyone is, etc. it's organized by overall, but with the 2013-14 rosters. So all the 90+ overall teams are from the South, like Bama. It's fun so far.

Re: How is your dynasty going
I managed to get past Florida in my first test of the 2027 season with Wisconsin, as I came away with a 28-23 win at The Swamp.
I also need to make a correction to my last post...I am hosting Alabama at Camp Randall, so I will get at least the home-field advantage when I take on the No. 14-ranked team in the nation this coming week.
With my win over the Gators, I moved up to No. 4, and got some 1st place votes in the polls.
I took a peek at my in-conference schedule, and the road doesn't get any easier. I face Ohio State, Minnesota, Purdue and Nebraska in B1G play, all of which are ranked. The path to Indy and beyond will be a difficult one!Last edited by MrArlingtonBeach; 09-19-2016, 02:30 PM.Orbis Non SuficitComment

Re: How is your dynasty going
I just started a new dynasty to run concurrent to my other.
I wanted to start at the bottom so I took the DC job at Eastern Michigan. Good golly their defense is dreadful, rated at a 63 in the first year. I had to play the first game twice because of a freeze; was going to win the first time but ended up losing in the second go around against Memphis, 35-28. I played the next game, as well, this one against Purdue and got shellacked 41-17.
I simmed the rest of the first season and my defense finished ranked #110 in the country. The team finished 3-9 overall. I'm surprised they managed three wins, honestly.
During the offseason I did get a couple other DC job offers but declined them, hoping to stay with EMU until they either give me the HC position or my contract expires and I move on.
Second year and the defense is already pretty well improved up to a 71. It still isn't good by any means. Lots of freshmen with three starting. The recruiting class from last year was bad, something like #118 overall, but we got a couple decent transfers that will help next season. The freshmen starting on defense now were three-star recruits, so it wasn't a total wash.
Finished the first two games of this new season (2014) with two wins over Iowa State (27-17) and Army (40-10). Evidently my offense is much improved, as well, but of course I have no control over that.
My dream job will be at Notre Dame, where my coach is alumni, but I don't know if that job will ever come available. In my other dynasty it hasn't and the team is still in good shape.
As for the game design itself - I wish some of the simple things were changed when you're only a coordinator, like you have recruiting control only over defensive players, and you control the depth chart only for the defense. Seems odd you have total coach control in certain areas as just a coordinator.Comment

Re: How is your dynasty going
After watching UConn's horrible offense on saturday, i decided to fire up a dynasty and transition UConn to a more spread offense, particularly OSU's. I went 8-5, 11-3, 12-1 with 2 American Championships before moving to the ACC where I've gone 9-4, 12-1, and I'm now ranked #6 at 7-1. I've pretty much mastered the recruiting game, so I try to limit the number of 4/5 star recruits and focus on finding the 3 star gems and controlling the entire New England & Northeast recruiting landscape.Comment

Re: How is your dynasty going
middle of year 1 with rutgers (3-0) using a custom spread offense playbook.
found 2 qbs, 1 athlete
Im leading for 2 qbs, and 3rd for athlete.
Hows player progression over seasons?
The 1 qb is a 78speed, 77 acc with 84 throw power and 74 throw acc. The other is a tad faster at 81speed but throw is 81 and 71 accuracy.
the athlete is my main target: could be a corner or a qb. 93 speed, 89 acc, 86 Throw power and 82 throw accuracy
Enjoying this game more than I did when I purchased it 2 years ago.Comment

Player progression is really over-powered. If you check out Hellisan's dynasty, he has a system that he uses called "Work Ethic" where he randomly assigns a number from 40-99 and that affects how they progress during the offseason.

Progress over the season doesn't stick. My 72 qb made it to 78, and was back at 72 when the offseason started. He progressed to 76 in training.middle of year 1 with rutgers (3-0) using a custom spread offense playbook.
