They need to...

I know a lot of females that play 2k that wish they could be a female character. If they did this (and a bunch of other things), it'd be a step in the right direction.

Lets be honest, more than half the dudes playing this game cant dunk IRL. Its a video game. No need to limit the women in any way.

I've been saying for literal years that EA needs to implement the WNBA season into NBA Live during your off-season. I hope they do this! At the beginning of your franchise or career you're asked to pick two teams to control... a nba and a wnba... the replay value for this would be insane! And the funds from this could help the wnba also.

For the Pro-Am Park Play this should be a no-brainer.

Nobody playing this game can "dunk IRL" just like none of us are Rambo Soldiers - yet there are female models in FPS games already.

Lets be honest, more than half the dudes playing this game cant dunk IRL. Its a video game. No need to limit the women in any way.

What we can do in real life has nothing to do with it. We're creating male characters. Having said male characters being able to dunk is realistic. Having female characters doing the same things is just downright silly.

It would be different if it was NBA Jam, as you would expect the entire game to be exaggerated.

Post to address both post above. To a certain extent ... some females can dunk, rare, but they're extremely tall, and the "athletic" dunk finish is extremely limited, nothing outrageous. As Lakers24 7 said, the ability for males to dunk is realistic. If video game females are able to dunk left and right, with ridiculous flash, that would be unrealistic.

Not sure why it would be a PR nightmare though. Most of the following involves one female, Brittney Griner. She is incredibly tall.

Dunking in WNBA is a rarity.

But this isnt the case. To throw women in the same competitive realm as the men then limit their abilities because they're women would just be insulting. Are we going to limit the rest of their attributes too? I vant see that going over well at all..

Not sure how that would be insulting to try and replicate what a female athlete can do with a basketball. Pro AM is still suppose to be realistic in terms of a player's physical attribute sprinkled with street ball flavor. No male is jumping 20 feet in the air, no male is jumping from the 3 point line to throw down a monster dunk. You can still have a great woman ball handlers, great woman shooters, great woman passers when you level up their attributes. Just don't want to see a 5 foot woman throw down Russell Westbrook type dunks.

Dunk ability should be tied to height; taller female ballers.

EA did a commendable job with the woman's fifa soccer division. It was actually more enjoyable playing with woman than the mens.

Might as well just skip the female motion capture sessions and simply use the male animations for all female ballers then.

We'll see what they do, I definitely don't anticipate the women ballers being handicapped in anyway...nor do I want them to be..
