The Show is still even in 2017 a game made for the ps3. It was one of few games perfectly adapted to the cell structure of the ps3. Since then scea is trying to port it over to the ps4. Looking at framerate issues even 3 years into current gen we can assume it's not going easy for them. What we are getting now is pretty much a "the show ps3 remastered. Looking at perfermance issues this year idk how much graphics can really improve right now.

I know a lot of people are saying the graphics need to be updated. Maybe my eyes aren't as good as they use to be but I think the player models and all the graphics are fine. What about them needs to be changed? I'd rather that time be put into putting new features in the game.

The problem is gameplay wise this game is just about perfect has there are really only a few things that really need to be improved and graphics on the other hand are way behind NBA 2K and NHL. Out side of lighting the game dose not look much different then it did on ps3. If you compare player faces the shows faces are way behind NHL and NBA 2k. Those 2 games at times look photo realistic where this game does not. So with game play being almost perfect if graphics are not going to be improved then what is there really left to do to make this game any better?

Small thing I'm curious about that's probably nothing. At the end they show number 16 for the Yankees hitting a HR. But the only famous Yankee to wear 16 was Whitey Ford. I'm sure it's just a RttS player but it just stuck out as odd the way they featured his number. *shrug probably nothing

I like this series a lot, but the devs aren't really pushing the game forward as much as I'd like to see. I don't want to make too much of this trailer because it's far off from release and I know I'm getting the game regardless, but it didn't wow me at all. Looking forward to hearing about additions as we get closer to launch.

I think its good that they are continuing on the player personalities because that's making the digital players (and therefore also the game) come to life.

Now what I think is inportant within this development is that they should also get on point with players who have a button lose of their jersey or have specific tattoos.

Furthermore I think that if they made any updates to the grass/dirt (what I really hope) we wouldn't see it in an early trailer. This was made specifically to showcase Griffey and tease the retro mode and they just used a 16 or very early 17 build.

I just want the grass not to be flat when at bat or while pitching. I understand when the ball is play it would ask too much of the machine. Same goes for the flat dirt with the "bread crumbs", give it a little bit more real life textures and depth. With most of the new games having beautifull pbr ground textures now The Show could do a bit better in this department as well if you ask me.

Worst case scenario the grass will only be 3d rendered on the PS PRO.

Deal with it. Nothing I said is really wrong at all. I expected way more on the graphics. This is basically nothing. SO yeah my joy was killed here big time. I have no reason to invest in a long season of baseball when the Twins suck and this game doesn't move forward from its PS3 renderer.

I stopped after 14 for this very reason, I'm just lucky I realized it years ago

Totally agree with the guys above. While Retro seems like a cool idea, why not work on glaring issues that SCEA has with online play and online leagues/franchise

I would have to disagree. I play all three of those games. I'll give you NBA 2K (although I don't think they are really much of any better) but not NHL (which I'm playing ALLOT right now and love).

Plus, when it comes to CAP, the options The Show has really blows the others away.

Again as I said earlier. Maybe I'm just too old to notice what y'all see. But I would rather more time be spent in adding features to Franchise mode than player models and grass texture. But that is just my opinion.

I would have liked to see some Franchise stuff too. But I think it would be hard to put some of those things in a trailer like this. They seem to be building up the Griffey features in this.

Hopefully we will get a list soon on what is coming.
