It's rough going back to the NCAA games for me after playing Madden 17. The graphics and engine of that game just feel like too much of an advancement for me to take a step back and enjoy the NCAA games as much as I used to.

All I want for Xmas...
Seriously, I would pay $250 for a current-gen NCAA Football game with the current Madden gameplay engine. Even if it had to be all randomized schools and all randomized players, as long as they were both editable.

All I want for Xmas...
As a dynasty player, I'm 100% ok with ultra generic rosters. I can't get down however with a game that has the University of Columbus playing Ann Arbor University.

I feel ya, as long as I'd be able to edit everything about the teams I'd be fine with it though. It'd take some time to get the schools right, but it's better than nothing.Comment

Re: All I want for Xmas...
I don't know about $250 but I will pay $100 with current Madden engine. I'm cool with all the NCAA details. The only thing extra I would add to the game is classic offensive formations like the old T- formation, wing-T, split backs, near, far, power I. I watched the 1994 Rose Bowl with UCLA vs. Wisconsin, UCLA ran a lot of the same formations and plays as the 49ers.
As for generic rosters, I'm cool with that. Hell they could put the number zero on each player but allow us to edit. With the Madden Graphics and all the cool uniforms from college teams, NCAA football would really pop.
Something tells me they are working on a game right now but it's really hush hush at the moment. I miss the game and I want it back in July 2017.Comment

Re: All I want for Xmas...
I agree OP. Love this game and how well it works in a long term dynasty, but the gameplay is so far behind what current gen is it is hard to play.
I recently started playing again with updated rosters and using the triple option since that was one thing I never really tried yet. Enjoyable so far, but we will see how long it takes to see what is and isn't OP about the scheme lolComment

Re: All I want for Xmas...
Man I wouldn't even care if everything was fake as long as it was editable. Even if I had to do it myself. Wouldn't edit players in that case (doesn't really matter, by the time I build a school up every real player's gone anyway), but schools wouldn't be very hard to do, it'd just take a while.

Re: All I want for Xmas...
Ehh. It's a fine game if you ignore the fact it's M16 with updated rosters, fixed previously flawed draft system, and a wonky kick meter. It leans too far to the acradey side for me. If/when NCAA gets a new title I'd rather it be a more realistic engine.Comment

Re: All I want for Xmas...
^ that's one thing that makes me wonder about a New NCAA game. Not for that title, but for the titles after it. If it was all randomized and we had to edit the schools, stadiums, and not to mention rosters on top of that it would take a good bit of time to get things right. NCAA couldn't use the updated rosters gimmick so the devs would actually have to make significant gameplay/graphical changes with every release to actually make buying a new copy worth it due to the amount of editing the player would have to do every year. Just a thought I had.Comment

I just want one. That's it. Just one with next gen graphics and gameplay, and I'm cool for a few years.^ that's one thing that makes me wonder about a New NCAA game. Re: All I want for Xmas...
Oh I know, me as well. My point was, would a bigger gaming company be willing to do that with a high chance that unless they stepped up their game 10x over what they normally do they would not be able to make it a successive yearly installment like with most sports games due to the work that the player would have to do for every game. The gaming industry is extremely greedy, if they don't see the profit of a multi-year franchise they probably lose interest.Last edited by Maverick04; 12-28-2016, 04:06 PM.Comment

Oh yeah it won't happen. I'm just saying I'd be cool with one game for a while as long as we had full editing control.Oh I know, me as well. Re: All I want for Xmas...
I would even be OK with an FCS version, or even a JUCO version. Just something with the current physics and advancements really, that isn't NFL football.
In a dream world, the next version would have multiple levels. IE Juco, FCS, FBS. Or FBS, FCS, DII, DIII...essentially the ability as a coach or program to move up.Comment

Re: All I want for Xmas...
I would like to be able to post a new thread. In reply, I would like a new game also. I am currently playing a PlayStation 2. And I still love it. Playing the check out of 06. Just to make things interesting, I make certain rules like: I play two offensive drives for each team. Then, play defense for both sides. Five minute quarters.
Anyone know who to contact about being allowed to post new threads?
ThanksComment
