They have fixed some things. I remember on drop the big runs were crazy. I also remember drafting 300+ pound defensive ends with 4.5 speeds doing 36 reps in the fourth round. We tend to forget the things that get fixed and dwell on those that don't so I will give them some credit. However, it's kind of like dusting the coffee table when there is 4 days of dishes in the kitchen. There are just glaring problems that can not be overlooked to make this a successful year of madden

I didn't even know there is an offsides glitch and that will be fixed in the updated title release.
Also, the QB ACC slider they were working on improving the effectiveness on the slider, hopefully.
Hopefully, these fixes, whatever they are, don't fall under the, they are fixed, but fell off the ladder because of priorities.Comment

Nice to see them still developing the game, wlll echo calls that some love to CFM wouldn't go amiss this deep into the season, especially when I speak from personal experience, I'm more likely to play Madden in the next two weeks than at any other period than around release.
On the 'gambling' subplot that ran through this thread. I don't think it's gambling in the traditional sense, but modes like MUT/FUT/HUT/Diamond Dynasty/whatever the NBA2K equivalent is, do have an element of the same addictive tendencies that you see with slot machines (here in the UK we have had stories about Fixed-Odd Betting Terminals), where a lot of small transactions can add up to a large amount if you're not careful.Comment

I have just been playing NBA 2k while I wait for qb accuracy to get fixed. Haven't played Madden for a while now and it kind of sucks. I want to play but just can't get over the arcade-ness of the accuracy even at 0 on the slider... :/ I don't hold high hopes on it getting fixed. And of course the season will be over by then and the switch to other sports in real life may keep me from Madden as well if they can't get this fixed..Comment

Yes CM Hoe we all know you're a video game designer.....you been telling people that for 10 years on here. But back on the topic of our conversation, about 80 percent of all MUT players would disagree with your assessment in regards to gambling. What are you gonna tell me next???? That people don't make real life money off of MUT? I'm not that naive......I know gambling when I see it. It's a shame what Madden has become.

Is that it for gameplay? At work so haven't played yet. Do TE's still randomly walk (player clip/ghost) right through the QB when breaking the huddle? Have they cleaned up the physics mainly after the whistle has blown the play dead with players limbs fusing together, players walking through other player's bodies, etc...? These are immersion killers that need to be addressed.Comment

I'm with you. Enjoying what I have ootb with some player editing and occasionally having to sim punts. If there is a big patch in February that addresses enough cfm concerns I'll try it. If I don't like it I'll Go back to the ootb version.Comment

We can all agree that gameplay fixes cut across all modes and make the experience better across the entire game.
Beyond that - how many times do we have to have the tired discussion based on a false premise? The MUT team and Franchise team are two fully-staffed groups comprised of entirely different sets of people. One doesn't have general-case priority over the other.Comment

It is what is is. EA's job is to make money and MUT is the cash cow. The NFL's job is to make money and maximized video game revenue by giving an exclusive license to EA.
The economics just don't seem to be there to push this in any other direction. CFM is an embarrassment as an immersive single player franchise mode, but its time to accept that this just isn't the goal of the mode.Comment

Okay, you've lost me: what the heck does a Supreme Court decision from 1896 which was reversed in 1954 have to do with Madden NFL the video game? This is not a politics or civics forum.
Sure they are 2 different teams but who do you think gets the bigger chunk of the budget?
MUT basically runs itself with the exception of a small-ish content team, that team which creates new cards / sets / events / etc. Madden Mobile has a separate content team which keeps that game running. When there are new features to implement such as chemistries, MUT has its own engineers as well, but not as many as other modes.
Franchise on the other hand requires an engineering team for any feature work / bug fixes to happen and is fully-staffed full-time. Franchise remains split between the Tiburon team in Florida for most of the client-side work, while the satellite office in Austin handles the vast majority of the server-side stuff.
The development bottleneck for both modes is a shared UI/UX team, which has dominion over the UI/UX of the entire game. For Madden 17, the UI/UX team was focused almost entirely on adding new screens and fixing existing screens in Franchise.Last edited by Hooe; 01-26-2017, 06:45 PM.Comment

Madden NFL 17 patch #9 has just arrived, check out the full details below.
Madden Ultimate Team- Added a new tile to MUT Seasons that displays your Season progress including past opponents and scores.
- Added Playoff presentation and night games to MUT Seasons.
- Added visual feedback whenever certain chemistry abilities are used in MUT.
- Addressed a bug that would not show you the low contract flow when exiting a MUT Seasons game.
Gameplay- Fixed an exploit that would let users block field goals at a high rate.
- Added user presentation banners that display whenever a successful skill move is performed.
I would pay 5 dollars a month for them to make CFM a priority. If that's what it takes.
