Re: SIM season and start in 17/18 season
If you are using the latest rosters, it has been recommended elsewhere in the forums to adjust the XP sliders to 0 for the initial simmed season so that players do not "double progress" as ratings have been updated throughout the year. -
Re: SIM season and start in 17/18 season
When I did this I forced wins to mirror real life, so that the draft order would be as close to authentic as possible. Only problem is there were a few ties. I don't remember exactly how I resolved that while achieving the same playoff bracket we got in real life, but I did, so it's possible.San Francisco 49ers

I am currently doing this too!
I dropped TBs injury to 0 in preseason week 1 and advanced/repeat until he picked up a season ending leg injury. Romo just happened to get knocked out in Preseason Week3 for 6 games, so that was lucky too.
You might find this small list of win/loss vs week helpful. For the TIEs I simmed it so the Cardinals and the Bengals won their tie so that it didn't mess with the playoff teams. Enjoy!Attached FilesComment

But without it players might also double regress?

Double regress? Doubtful...But without it players might also double regress?

Will they possibly regress a bit more? Maybe...but that should really soften the rather extreme boosts players (rookies mainly) get in the roster updates.
If you don't do 'something' with the xp sliders during that first season sim, you will get a guy like Prescott boosted to like a 90 overall going into year two...which seems horribly unrealistic in my opinion. It could really make a league 'top heavy' with super young players.Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

Re: SIM season and start in 17/18 season
Also remember, if you're running a scripted season and get a predetermined injury you don't like on any team, enter schedule, force won the other way, exit menu (it'll take slightly longer to load as it computes), enter schedule again, change force win back and then injuries become random.

Re: SIM season and start in 17/18 season
Getting ready to start doing this tomorrow. Very good tips in here, as I did some test franchises doing this to see how it long it takes to do the entire season.I am currently doing this too!

During my test, I was trying to figure out how to handle the ties and just changed the quarter length prior to playing the game out. Normally I set at it 12:00 minute(default sliders) but before these games I changed them to 3:00 minute quarters and just ran the clock out as quick as I could to get it a tie anyway possible.Comment

Re: SIM season and start in 17/18 season
Go to the league schedule scroll to any game, click on it and it will ask to force win for home or away, id rather the dang game just let us at least watch the games we cant control
but can only do that if u control more then one team and im guess offline mode works the best for that,Youtube channel

Re: SIM season and start in 17/18 season
For anyone who hasn't started this yet, here's the list of players that were put on the Injured Reserved List throughout the 2016 season. I lowered the injury rating of those injured in preseason so I can try to have an accurate roster down to IR.

In my offline CFM I was able to force every game on the schedule through the Super Bowl controlling only one team.Go to the league schedule scroll to any game, click on it and it will ask to force win for home or away, id rather the dang game just let us at least watch the games we cant control

Re: SIM season and start in 17/18 season
For anyone doing this, just a quick question about the Chargers. Since we know they are relocating to LA this season, how are you handling it in your real life based CFM? Since we can't share stadiums in Madden with another team, are you moving them to LA now or keeping them in SD for a few years before moving them?Comment

Re: SIM season and start in 17/18 season
Keeping them in SD as I'm not bothered by the move and don't want to either forever control the SD owner or lock myself out. Same with the raiders. Turned off all relocations. For anyone doing this, just a quick question about the Chargers. Since we know they are relocating to LA this season, how are you handling it in your real life based CFM?
