Game Informer lists Madden 18 on PC at E3
This is obviously not confirmation, but Game Informer is listing Madden 18 at e3 for the pc platform. Could be a mistake, though last week I saw a tweet from Rex saying he would be going to e3. I assumed it was for Madden on Scorpio, would love for modders to get a hold of Madden for pc. http://www.gameinformer.com/b/featur...ames-list.aspxTags: None -

That would be a crazy surprise...Comment

Re: Game Informer lists Madden 18 on PC at E3
I read on a site titled, trustedreviews, though it didn't mention platforms released on, but just early access, through ea access on Xbox one and pc.
But I don't think this is the first time that pc platform was mentioned before a madden release after the removal from pc .Comment

It seems like every year some publication accidentally says that Madden will be a PC title.Teams: Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Reds, Marshall Thundering Herd, Virginia Tech Hokies (2010 alum)Comment

Re: Game Informer lists Madden 18 on PC at E3
I've never played any of the Madden games on the PC but I know the modding community is still going hard on the last version of the PC game. If this were to be the case, I would seriously consider bypassing the Xbox One version for PC.Comment

Re: Game Informer lists Madden 18 on PC at E3
Has EA or the devs ever stated the reason they don't do Madden on PC?
Could this be one of the possible reasons? If you ever did an updated Madden, all your frustrated CFM users might buy it once and mod it and never be forced to buy the yearly update again so you lose revenue.
I would put more money on just there not being the resources to commit to the task when they expect low profit and therefore no returns for the effort.Comment

Makes a ton of sense. A Madden on PC with this new engine may hold a lot of CFM players over for close to 10 years.

Re: Game Informer lists Madden 18 on PC at E3
I know Peter Moore (CCO) was always against it, I think multiple times he cited piracy is one of the main issues he didn't want to do it. He left the company I think in February of this year and now with frostbite you'd have to think it would be easier to port. Last year I know Amazon listed 17 as coming out on pc and caused a stir, you'd think a dedicated gaming site would b less apt to make a listing error, but if I had to guess I would think this was a mistake, but man I hope it's realHas EA or the devs ever stated the reason they don't do Madden on PC?

Re: Game Informer lists Madden 18 on PC at E3
And probably a legitimate concern considering a single NFL license, but how do games like Fallout, Skyrim, XCOM2 etc get away with using assets copyrighted from other IP but user made? Backbreaker had a lock on using any real NFL team or player names when it had a better edit function (putting a space at the end of each name worked though, ha).I know Peter Moore (CCO) was always against it, I think multiple times he cited piracy is one of the main issues he didn't want to do it. Re: Game Informer lists Madden 18 on PC at E3
I don't see why they wouldn't. I understand that modders can keep updating the games, but it's not like PC players stop buying each year of the NBA 2K franchise on the PC. They just work on each year that comes out.
This could definitely be a way for people to get somewhat of an NCAA Football fix if this does come to fruition, although it still wouldn't quite be the same.Comment

Not that I want to throw cold water on this, but I wouldn't expect much in the way of mods if a PC version was released using the Frostbite engine. FIFA modders have been unable to do much with it. Ironically, that fact may be what brings it to PC, but the supposed modding benefits that would make a PC version worthwhile would be null and void.
