Power Forward Chris Bosh has officially been medically cleared for a return to the NBA. The 33-year-old big man hasn't played since 2016 for the Miami Heat, where he put up 19.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game while shooting 46.7% from the floor and 36.5% from three. Bosh was forced to retire due to a recurring blood clot problem, which ended his season twice, and subsequently, his career. However, with doctors now clearing him, it will be interesting to see if any time takes a flier on the talented former All-Star. Playing Bosh could be a big risk; what if the blood clots return? What if Bosh has complications while playing on the court? The entire franchise would look bad if they brought Bosh in and the clots either come back, forcing him to stop playing again, or worse, they come back and he dies on the floor.

Obviously, two teams being linked to Bosh right now are the Cavaliers and the Warriors. Bosh should be willing to sign a cheap deal with either team if they want him. However, there are without a doubt a number of teams that may be willing to take a risk on signing him. Teams that jump off the list are Boston, OKC, Toronto, San Antonio, and Utah. However, will Bosh be the same player that he once was? He hasn't played in over a year, and while I'm sure he's in good shape, it's one thing to be in shape and it's another to be in NBA game shape. This will be an interesting story to follow moving forward.
Been following (of course!) but verrrrrrrryyyyy interesting to see Bosh back in. CB would make a great addition for the Jazz as a floor spacing big - I doubt he'd play starter minutes based on his past medical history, but as a super-6th man (20-22 minutes a night?) he could be really useful.

Of course, reuniting with LeBron and Wade in Cleveland would be likely ... and Cleveland would happily slot him in at the 5 if they thought he could handle it. Many interesting directions for CB to go.
