Call me prude or non-emotional, but I don't really care about the "high profile" names and how they are "post-layoff."
One sentence in that article really does it for me "... getting paid until 2019 to NOT be on Television."
Okay. So you're getting paid through your contract, to NOT work. Now we are writing articles about you, catching up with you and making sure you're surviving okay? You ALSO, get to move out of Connecticut? Sounds like a win to me.
What the article, and people, should be focusing on is the behind the scenes crew who get laid off without any notice. Those are the jobs that are hard to find, and I am pretty positive you don't get any "pay as long as you don't produce radio/tv until 2019" deals (though I could be wrong)
