      Coaches Take:
I'm sick of this bullsh*t! Our offense, for the last three years, has been good enough to win us ball games. And here we are giving up 50 some points again. Yes, missing Xavier was an enormous loss as he is one of our leader but that's no excuse. Give all the credit to their QB (Kevin Anderson), the kid looked absolutely unbelievable out there. I just wish we'd have had more of an answer for him. Clearly, as I've told the media several times the last few years, we have some major work to do this week.

As Hellisan said, I love a dynasty where a team really takes their lumps. It'll make the rise that much more enjoyable. Glad you're starting to get the format to where you like it; just want to see the dynasty continue at whatever pace/format makes it easiest for you! Couple of tough games; monster performance from Marshall's QB.

Thank bigmike! It's nice to have a team to be connected to in this game. It helps deal with 1. How bad this team can actually be at times and 2. how annoying the bugs in this game can be. I love seeing the players grow on the field.

I believe this dynasty has some longevity in it now that I am (relatively) settled in with life. I also have some other ideas in other sports too .

Marshall's QB could absolutely do no wrong. I truly think 4 of his 7 TD's were on 3rd downs. Beyond frustrating. Honestly, out of all the thumpings we've taken in the last tree years, this one frustrated me the most because I know our defense is better than we played.

Been there before. It's weird how in the Mtn. West, and with Wazzu often on my schedule, I was routinely dealing with this kind of game with Idaho where I just could seemingly do nothing to stop them. Now that I'm in the Big Ten that kind of game isn't happening much to me. I don't think I've gotten any better on D, I think it's the styles. So at some point I might edit some coaches or something. What bugs do you find with the game to be really annoying? Other than a false record in the record books I don't see much.

One of my past running backs had something like 12 carries for 10 yards (he was horrible, rarely even saw the field) and was credited with the all-time record for yards in a single game, with 1,023.

I'm interested in seeing if Penn A&T can rebound. It's gut check time, need some wins.

I would say the most annoying thing I witness is in pass coverage. I believe my USER sliders have Pass Coverage at 55, so it's actually better than usual. I almost always have the Zone Coverage Gameplan set to "tight zones" and almost EVERY single pass that get thrown when I'm in zone, my defensive backs are at least 5 yards farther downfield from the receiver. It's every single time. Then not only do they get beat this way, but even when they are able to react, they seem to not have slim clue of where the ball is, even though it is right in front of them.

I'm sure ratings have a fair amount to do with this but man I know that my DB's aren't as bad as the passing number I have up against Marshall when a few wonky things occurred.

It was always going to be a tough slog until you get to October and start MAC play. Still, plenty of opportunities to have a good season and may be able to gain a win in the next two games if everything falls right!

                    West Virginia Preview - 2016

Howard, Christian set to face old school

When Darrien Howard and Hodari Christian step onto the field at Milan Puskar Stadium this Saturday, it will open up an interesting range of emotions for the pair of juniors who both started their collegiate careers in Morgantown.

"It's an interesting town. Everyone knows West Virginia for being these back woods hillbillies but Morgantown is everything opposite of that," said Howard.

Things are also a bit different for Christian, who hails from McKeesport, PA a small town in Pittsburgh. "When I committed to WVU, a lot of people in town were upset I didn't choose Pitt. Morgantown has a ton to offer and obviously it's a fun school," he said.

Both were highly sought after in high school, however, things changed in 2013 when Dana Holgorsen was fired as head coach of the Mountaineers. Strangely enough, despite his firing, defensive coordinator Keith Patterson was retained in his position by new coach Tom Herman.

"I had nothing but respect for coach Patterson but I just didn't want to be in the program without Holg leading it," stated Howard, the Dayton, Ohio native. "Penn A&T was this new program that needed guys to lead them. I want to be that guy."

Christian wasn't rally sure where to turn when Holgorsen was not being brought back. "Me and Darrien were obviously friends being on the same unit together but we weren't best friends. I talked with Spence (Spencer Gaston) about how it was at Penn A&T and he told me the defense needed help bad."

Christian and Dutchmen wide receiver Spencer Gaston had played against each other in high school. The two continued to talk into their freshman seasons and that is how the connection was made. A few months later, Christina and Howard were suiting up in Blue and Black.

When asked if they have anything they want to prove on Saturday, neither had any bad blood towards Morgantown as they were only there for one season and never stepped foot on the field as they both were redshirted in 2013.

WVU, even without Childress will probably be a massacre. Their offensive line is pretty good so it will be tough to get pressure. I like our chances against Temple though.

It's kind of funny to see how good Darrien Howard and Hodari Christian have been for us when they would both most likely be starting for WVU if they had not transferred. I guess coaches leaving has a big thing to do with some of the transfers in this game, which makes sense. I'm just glad that we were on the receiving end

That play by Darrien was one of the biggest plays, if not the biggest, made in this programs short history. We fell short in the end but I love the fight this team showed. It's reassuring after last weeks debacle. Temple better watch their back next week!

Oh man! Another heart breaker for the guys!!! Could have easily knocked off 1 or 2 bigger ranked teams this year, but alas 0-3!

Watch out Temple, that win is coming and it will be sweet against in state foes!
